Crawl Space Repair Before & After Photos

A homeowner in Burlington, Massachusetts, had lived in their home for the past 22 years. Over the last few winters, the floor above their crawlspace has been especially cold. They decided to call EFS to see if they could find a solution for them. Our Design Specialist recommended installing TerraBlock, CleanSpace, and SilverGlo in the crawlspace to add some insulation to the crawlspace. 

A homeowner in Tewksbury, Massachusetts had been dealing with a wet basement. It was very important to protect the space since it was used for storage and utilities. Looking to waterproof the basement, this homeowner reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions.

After inspection, our Design Specialist recommended installing CleanSpace vapor barrier and WaterGuard perimeter drainage. This system is designed to encapsulate the wall to block moisture and direct it to the perimeter drainage system. The perimeter drainage system leads to a sump pump that disposes water out of the home. This homeowner already had a sump pump, but with the foundation being surrounded by so much wet soil, this system prevents all the additional water from leaking through the basement walls. Other benefits of this system include insulation, preventing drafts, and creating a more comfortable living space.

Once our installation crew finished the job, they provided a final walkthrough with the homeowner to answer any questions and ensure satisfaction. This homeowner was thrilled that he now had a safe and waterproofed basement!

Our Design Specialist recommended installing PolyLevel Wall Restoration, Terrablock, CleanSpace, and a SaniDry dehumidifier into the crawlspace to prevent unwanted pests and moisture from entering the crawlspace. 

A homeowner in Woburn, Massachusetts, was having a problem with rats and unwanted smells coming from their crawlspace. The homeowner wanted to find a solution to these problems so they reached out to EFS. Our Design Specialist recommended installing Rim Joist Insulation and CleanSpace to protect the crawlspace from pests and unwanted smells.  

A homeowner in Salem, New Hampshire had been experiencing drywall cracking and sagging floors in the house. With plans to sell the home in the near future, the homeowner wanted to stabilize the floors in order to maintain value of the home. She reached out to Erickson team for a permanent solution.

Our Design Specialist, Liam FitzPatrick, recommended installing SmartJack support posts in the crawl space in order to uplift and stabilize the floors. These SmartJacks are similar to Lally columns, but are able to provide more support to the structure. This system is installed by attaching steel support beams to the floor joists and a sturdy base at the floor. Once all posts are installed, they are adjusted to raise the floors to a level position. A total of six SmartJacks were installed.

The floors in the home were instantly leveled and supported. This homeowner now has peace of mind that the structure of her home is strong and stable.
