A homeowner in Manchester, New Hampshire was experiencing leaks in his basement despite already having a sump pump installed. Enough water made its way through the foundation that it was puddling on the floor. Sick of cleaning and concerned with further issues to the foundation, this homeowner reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions for a permanent solution.
After inspecting the home, our Design Specialist, Bryan Barnard, recommended installing WaterGuard perimeter drainage and a TripleSafe sump pump system. The WaterGuard drainage is installed around the border of the foundation to capture water before being able to enter the basement. The water is then directed to the sump pump system. The TripleSafe is guaranteed to properly pump water out of the home with our three-pump system. The first pump is activated to withstand average amounts of water at 1/3 horsepower. A second pump operates when higher levels of water enter the sump basin, pumping water out of the home at 1/2 horsepower. Finally, the battery backup pump operates in case of emergency such as a power outage.
Once this waterproofing system is installed, it is cemented in place. With the job complete, this homeowner has peace of mind that his basement will stay dry all the time, and no longer needs to worry about further foundation issues.
