This homeowner in Lowell, Massachusetts was preparing to finish his basement. He was looking to eliminate leaks and puddles forming on his basement floor beforehand so his property would be protected. After scheduling an appointment with one of our Customer Care Specialists, a Design Specialist, John Prince, went to the home to conduct a free inspection. After completing the inspection, John recommended installing our TripleSafe sump pump, WaterGuard, CleanSpace, and SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. This waterproofing system captures water at the perimeter of the basement before entering the home and flows to the sump pump, where it is then safely pumped outside of the home. CleanSpace is an encapsulation system that is applied to the wall to prevent moisture and humidity. Finally, our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier is installed to protect against mold and other effects due to humidity, as well as provide better air quality and a comfortable room climate.
With this system installed, a dry and temperate space has been created. The homeowner can now have the finished basement he always wanted.
A homeowner in Lowell, Massachusetts noticed water entering his basement since moving into his home in 2019. As of recently, the problem had gotten much worse. The basement completely flooded, causing damage to stored belongings and creating a nightmare of a cleanup. With fear of the basement flooding again, the homeowner reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions in search of a permanent solution.
Our Design Specialist, George Gouthier, recommended installing WaterGuard perimeter drainage, TripleSafe sump pump system, and CleanSpace vapor barrier. WaterGuard intercepts water along the border of the foundation before being exposed to the basement floor and walls. The water is filtered to the TripleSafe sump pump system, where it is then discarded safely out of the home through an exterior discharge line. The CleanSpace vapor barrier was added to areas that were more exposed to water leaking through the basement walls. This system encapsulates the wall, eliminating moisture and directing it to the WaterGuard system. Other benefits of this system include added insulation, as well as reduction of humidity and mold.
After our team installed these systems, foreman Anthony LoCascio performed a final walkthrough with the homeowner to reiterate the work that was done and answer any additional questions. The homeowner was thrilled to have peace of mind that his belongings are now protected in his dry basement!
