This seasonal cottage on Cobbetts Pond in Windham, NH was suffering from sagging floors, settlement, and unstable soils. Water was constantly running down a hill toward the home and the lake just beyond it. As water flowed through the soil beneath the home, the concrete piers and wood posts settled over time. The home needed more permanent stabilization if it was going to last.
Erickson Foundation Supportworks installed EZ Post helical piers around the perimeter of the home. SmartJack columns were also installed beneath to replace concrete piers and rotten wood posts.
This boathouse on Cobbetts Pond in Windham was built in the 1940's. The foundation had several cracks which were progressively getting worse over time, and a permanent solution was needed to fix it. GeoLocks and Helical Piers combined to help stabilize the lateral movement of the wall, as well as the settling.
