The owner of a 1970s home in Goffstown, New Hampshire, bought their property in 2018. However, they have recently noticed that the front-facing foundation wall seems to be bowing inwards. Therefore, they reached out to EFS to request a free inspection of their foundation walls. EFS's Design Specialist, Jared Pavluvcik, inspected the basement and suggested installing an Auxiliary Wall along the entire length of the front-facing foundation wall. This would stabilize the foundation wall and stop it from bowing any further.
A homeowner in Goffstown, NH had concerns with water flooding his crawl space. Although the owner had the personal belongings on wooden crates, over 3 inches of water filled the crawl space and damaged them. Looking to keep the crawl space dry all the time, he reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions.
Our Design Specialist, Josh Phillips, recommended installing WaterGuard perimeter drainage and SmartSump sump pump to waterproof the crawl space. WaterGuard captures water along the border of the crawl space where the walls and floor meet and deliver water to the sump pump. The sump pump removes water out of the home through an exterior discharge line.
This waterproofing system keeps the crawl space dry all the time, ensuring the safety of the homeowner's storage space.
A homeowner in Goffstown, New Hampshire had a radon mitigation system designed for treating water but lacked a system to prevent radon gas from entering the home. Despite a test result of 2.6pCi/L, within acceptable limits, they sought to guarantee their family's safety, particularly as the basement served as a workout area. Consequently, they contacted Erickson Foundation Solutions, known for our reliable and quality services.
Our Design Specialist, Josh Phillips, recommended installing our radon mitigation system with a fan moisture guard and muffler. The crew started work on the project by creating an extraction point into the foundation floor. At this stage, a radon vent pipe was affixed and extended outside the home, with the radon fan mounted on the side. Additional radon pipes were then attached to the fan, extending up the exterior wall and over the roofline to prevent radon re-entry. After confirming the fan's functionality, a monometer was installed in the basement to measure any changing radon levels.
The installation of the radon mitigation system ensures that the family is protected from radon gas throughout the entire home, including the basement.
