A homeowner in Nashua, New Hampshire recently bought a new furnace and wanted to waterproof the basement to protect it. The homeowner also wanted to use the basement area for storage, and insisted on making sure that the belongings would be kept safe. Our team was happy to evaluate the situation and offer a permanent solution to the problem.
Our Design Specialist recommended installing a full waterproofing system, composed of our TripleSafe sump pump, WaterGuard perimeter drainage system, and SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. The WaterGuard drainage system can be seen in the attached after photo. This system is installed at the perimeter of the foundation and safely collects water before entering the basement. The system then delivers the water to the sump pump. The sump pump then disposes the water out of the home through an exterior drainage line. The SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier is installed to keep moisture out of the basement and provide a comfortable and healthy climate.
With these systems working together, a fully waterproofed basement is created. The new furnace, along with all the other belongings in the basement, will be kept dry and protected.
A homeowner in Nashua, New Hampshire was sick of using the shop vacuum to clean up her wet basement. She wanted to look for a permanent solution that would keep her basement dry and reduce humidity.
Our team recommended installing a TripleSafe sump pump system, WaterGuard perimeter drainage, and CleanSpace vapor barrier. This waterproofing system is designed to keep water out of the basement by capturing it along the border of the foundation before entering the home, and then filtering it to the sump pump. The sump pump system removes water out of the home through an exterior discharge line. In the photo, CleanSpace is pictured. CleanSpace is a wall encapsulation system that reduces moisture in the home. This system eliminates humidity, adds insulation to the home, prevents wood rot and pests, and can even keep floors warm.
With these systems in place, a temperate and dry living space is created. Whether the homeowner decides to use the space for storage or build a fully finished basement, she has peace of mind that the basement is safe from water.
A homeowner in Nashua, New Hampshire, had repeatedly faced flooding in her finished basement, resulting in water damage. The flooding of the children's bedrooms was particularly alarming due to safety concerns. Seeking a lasting resolution instead of spending on temporary repairs and replacements, the homeowner contacted Erickson Foundation Solutions.
Our Design Specialist, Josh Phillips, conducted a complimentary home inspection. He observed that the existing sump pump system failed to capture all the water seeping through the basement's perimeter. Josh suggested adding WaterGuard perimeter drainage and TrenchDrain surface drainage to the homeowner's current sump pump setup. This would ensure that water along the basement's edge is collected and directed to the sump basin. Despite our advice to install our TripleSafe sump pump to manage the substantial water influx, the homeowner was satisfied with their existing pump. Our installation crew installed WaterGuard and TrenchDrain along the entire perimeter of the basement, giving the finished space full protection.
Upon completion of the installation process, the basement was fully waterproofed. The homeowner was delighted, enjoying the assurance that their children had a secure area and that the value of their property was enhanced.

A Nashua, NH homeowner tested his residence for radon gas and discovered levels at 4.3 pCi/L, raising concerns due to his frequent basement use. Radon, a dangerous gas linked to long-term health issues, often seeps into homes from the soil beneath the foundation, particularly into basements. Seeking assurance to safely enjoy his basement, he enlisted Erickson Foundation Solutions to install a radon mitigation system. The team established an extraction point, laid piping, drilled through the exterior, mounted a radon fan, and extended the piping up to the roofline, all while minimally impacting the finished area. This installation has provided the homeowner with the desired peace of mind, confirmed by the manometer indicating the system's proper function.
