A homeowner in Boxborough, Massachusetts, had lived in their new home for the past 3 months. Since they moved in the homeowners have noticed some cracking in their garage and were worried about the garage sinking and causing these cracks. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection of their garage. Our design specialist recommended installing PolyLevel, NexusPro, FlexiSpan, and Crack Injection into the garage to stabilize it and seal the cracks.
This crawlspace had some light plastic laid out over the exposed soil, which had become dirty and useless over the years. A new homeowner moved in and wanted to clean up the space. Additionally, a structural engineer informed the owner the beams and posts supporting the structure were in severe disrepair, and so needed to be stabilized and/or replaced. Erickson Foundation Supportworks installed a number of SmartJacks and enclosed the area with CleanSpace Encapsulation System. There were several large rocks sticking up out of the soil which could not be removed from the crawlspace, and so the CleanSpace product does not appear to be perfectly flat in some places.
The bump addition on this home in New Boston was settling over time. It was supported by 3 concrete pillars, all of which had failed and were sinking. Our team proposed and installed 3 EZ Post helical piles to replace the concrete pillars. The EZ posts are permanent and will not settle.
This homeowner in New Boston, New Hampshire was having water enter their garage and collecting in the back of the garage. Design Specialist John Prince inspected the garage and came to the same conclusion that the homeowner did. The garage was sloped away from the driveway, so John proposed that they use PolyLevel to raise the back of the garage to make the water drain out toward the driveway then they would resurface the concrete so it looks new again. Crew Lead Nick Melo and his team came and lifted the back of the garage slab to slope it toward the front of the garage and then resurfaced the whole garage floor to give it a nice clean finish.
This homeowner in New Boston, New Hampshire was experiencing water entering their basement through the bulkhead. Design Specialist John Prince came to the home and suggested waterproofing the bulkhead. Crew Lead Nick Carelli and his team came to the home and installed a waterproofing system on the bulkhead. They installed a waterproof barrier around the concrete bump-out that the bulkhead is resting on to ensure that no water can enter the basement through the bulkhead anymore.
