Radon Gas Mitigation Before & After Photos

This homeowner in Topsfield, Massachusetts, was looking for a quote on a radon mitigation system for their home. Their home radon test kit showed the levels in their home at 9 pCi/L. Design Specialist Jason Love came to the home. He quoted and sketched a plan to install the radon system.  Crew Lead Branden Edwards and his team came out to the home and installed the Radon Mitigation System. 

Alistair M. of Epping, New Hampshire had built his house 12 years ago and now is experiencing higher than average radon levels. Since building the house he has been keeping a watchful eye on the radon levels for the past 12 years. Now after all that time he wants a radon system installed to mitigate the radon in his basement. Design Specialist Jason Vachon came to the home and administered a radon test. The radon test came back at 5.2 pCi/L which is above the recommended amount. Jason proposed a radon mitigation system for the home.

It's important to test and install the radon vent pipe in the most suitable location. The air flow must be strong and ideally the pipe is not an unpleasant sight in the basement or on the exterior of the house. This before and after shows the pipe cleanly installed in the basement.

The team successfully installed the radon mitigation system, which included an extraction point in the basement, a fan to circulate the gas, and PVC pipes extending from the basement to above the roofline. To ensure the home was safeguarded against radon, a manometer was installed in the basement to monitor any fluctuations in radon levels. With this protection in place, the family can now proceed to create the finished basement they have always envisioned.
