A homeowner in Alton, New Hampshire, wanted to have their basement supports looked at. The homeowners called EFS for a free inspection. Our Design Specialist recommended installing 3 SmartJacks and a Supplemental Beam into the basement. The new supports with stabilize the floor system of the 1850s home.
This homeowner in West Newbury, Massachusetts had a fieldstone foundation that is starting to bulge in one corner. Design Specialist John Merna inspected the fieldstone foundation and proposed that Erickson Crew install an auxiliary wall to the foundation to stop the bulging and reinforce that area. Crew Lead Jon Provost and his crew installed the auxiliary wall and were able to secure the fieldstone foundation.
A homeowner in Marblehead, Massachusetts, has lived in their home for the past 50 years. 30 years ago the homeowners removed a column in their finished basement to gain usable space. Now after many years the floors above have sunk and required additional support. The homeowner called EFS for a free inspection and our Design Specialist recommended installing two lally columns in the finished section of the basement to stabilize the floors.
A homeowner in Amesbury, Massachusetts, has lived in their home for 30 years and has done continuous updates and remodels in their home over the years. This year the homeowners wanted to redo the floors on the first floor of the home. The only issue is that the main floor has been sloping since they purchased the home 30 years ago. Before they install new flooring they would like to eliminate the sloping.
They reached out to EFS for a free inspection of their home and our Design Specialist recommended installing 9 SmartJacks into the basement to lift and level the floor system to eliminate the slope. This will allow the homeowners to replace the floors on the main level of their home.
The owner of an older home in Amesbury, Massachusetts, had noticed their brick foundation wall begin to settle a few years ago. After seeing the wall continue to settle, they decided to call EFS for a free inspection. Our Design Specialist recommended installing 3 Helical Piers to the brick foundation and then using a grade beam to cast over the piers so they could lift the wall up to its original position.
