The owner of a rental property in North Reading, Massachusetts, had a tenant moving out of their property. The building had a moisture problem in the crawlspace that the owner wanted to address. The owner decided to call EFS for a free inspection of their crawlspace. Our Design Specialist Tom inspected the crawlspace and recommended using CleanSpace to encapsulate it and prevent moisture from building up. Our team arrived at the building and installed 1200 sqft of CleanSpace into the crawlspace.
Before tackling this project in North Reading, MA, the homeowner faced the challenge of weakened structural integrity in their crawl space, highlighted by cracked wooden supplemental beams and sinking joists, as evident in the before photo. Our team at Erickson Foundation Solutions provided a reliable fix by installing SmartJack systems, designed to offer superior stability. As seen in the after photo, we transformed the space, ensuring a solid foundation for years to come.
This homeowner in Hampstead, New Hampshire, had an influx of water enter their crawlspace. Their old sump pump failed and resulted in upward of 3' of water inside the crawlspace. They called EFS for an inspection of their home and we recommended installing a TripleSafe, SmartJacks, SmartPipe, and CleanSpace into the crawlspace to keep water and moisture out and stabilize a sagging support beam.
This 3-season porch area had a crawlspace beneath it. The crawlspace was full of moisture and extremely damp, causing mold to form and leading to rot damage to the floor joists. Our EFS team replaced some damaged joists, supported the new floor system with SmartJacks, and encapsulated the crawlspace with CleanSpace to protect the home against further rot or mold.
This homeowner in North Andover, Massachusetts had settlement issues when he purchased the home in 1996. When they first moved in the homeowners installed wooden supports under their kitchen because that is where most of the settlement was occurring. Over 25 years later the same issue is happening in the same spot. The homeowners had just renovated their kitchen. They had just added a big island and some new tile floors. They knew that this was going to add more weight above those wooden supports. This time the homeowners decided to call EFS for a free inspection.
Crew Lead Nick Carelli and his team arrived at the home and began installing the SmartJacks into the basement.
