This homeowner in North Andover, MA was concerned with the settlement of their concrete driveway slabs. Where the driveway surface met the garage entrance, the concrete had settled so much they had to use shims as ramps for their car tires in order to get in and out of the bays with their vehicles. The needed a solution to address this big concern.
Our Erickson team designed and proposed a solution to lift the concrete with PolyLevel, an expanding polymer foam material for concrete repair. Rather than having to tear out and pour new concrete, PolyLevel is injected through port holes in the surface of the concrete. As it fills the voids beneath the slabs, the concrete rises up to the desired location. For this homeowner, the solution was ideal and saved them time and money. Our team successfully lifted the concrete driveway slabs up several inches to where it met the trim pieces of the garage. Going forward, the owner will no longer need to worry about damaging their car due to a high drop off from the garage surface.
