A homeowner in East Kingston, New Hampshire, has lived in their home for 50 years. They have seen water entering their basement for a very long time. More recently they have started to smell an odor that continues to get stronger. They called EFS for a free inspection of their basement. Our Design Specialist met with the homeowner and recommended installing a perimeter drainage system. This system will mitigate the water from the basement and eliminate the smell.
This homeowner in Amesbury, Massachusetts has been living in their home for the past 50 years. Since the year they moved in they have had a leak in the basement. After all those years they decide they were done having water come into their basement. They decided to call Erickson to set up an appointment.
Design Specialist Royce Potts came to the home and inspected the basement and the outside foundation. Royce found a crack at the point where the wall meets the floor and water is seeping through. Royce proposed that Erickson install 75' of Fast Drain and 2 Super Sumps with battery backup to help to navigate the water out of the basement.
Crew Lead Branden Edwards and his team came to the home and installed the Fast Drain and 2 Super Sumps into the basement. The homeowner could tell right away that the combination of Fast Drain and Super Sump was going to work great for the basement.
This homeowner in Amesbury, Massachusetts, has lived in their late 1800s home for the past 6 years. When they moved into the home they have seen water seeping into the basement. Now 6 years later they have "had enough" of the water coming into the basement. The homeowner decided to call EFS for a free inspection of their basement. A homeowner in Amesbury, Massachusetts had been experiencing flooding in the front right corner of his basement. The seepage was coming through near his utilities. This, along with the annoying cleanup process drove this homeowner to look for a permanent solution. Our Erickson Foundation Solutions team was happy to provide options to keep this basement dry and give this homeowner the results that he wanted.
Once an appointment was scheduled through our Customer Care team, one of our Design Specialists completed a thorough home inspection. We recommended installing our Ultra Sump along with an interior and exterior drainage line. The sump pump was installed by creating a basin in the basement concrete. Crushed stone was placed in the basin along with the sump pump, and then cemented into place. The interior drainage line was connected to the sump pump so water could safely be removed from the home. Once the plumbing reached outside, IceGuard, a system that prevents pipes from freezing and getting backed up, was installed to the exterior drainage line. With the exterior drainage line in place, it could then be buried.
With all systems in place, water will be safely redirected away from the house and leave the utilities dry and unharmed.
Faced with a soggy situation in Amesbury, MA, the homeowner's basement battled with a relentless moisture issue due to a failing sump pump. The plight of repeated flooding, notably up to 5 inches of water after every rain, caused not only the distress of constant cleanup but also damaged precious stored items. As you can see in the "before" photo, the damage and frustration were palpable. Stepping in, our team implemented a robust solution, incorporating a CleanSpace liner, WaterGuard drainage system, and an UltraSump sump pump, complemented by IceGuard for freezing protections. The transition is evident in the "after" photo, where you'll notice a dry, secure, and efficiently protected basement space. Our focus was not just on instantly dry outcomes but ensuring a long-lasting solution for peace of mind through every season.
