This before and after series highlights the effectiveness of PolyLevel for lifting and leveling concrete slabs. This homeowner was very concerned with the individual concrete slabs he had running along his view of the Merrimack River in Manchester, NH. There were several tripping hazards, and overall it was becoming more and more unsightly.
Our concrete repair team successfully leveled various sections of the patio for the homeowner, while also sealing all the joints and exposed cracks for additional layer of protection. With rainwater unable to seep beneath and cause more erosion, this concrete is protected for years to come.
A homeowner in Manchester, New Hampshire, had recently purchased their home in the last year. When they moved into their home there was a large rainstorm that allowed water to leak into the basement. They wanted to use their basement for storage and didn't want to worry about water entering the basement and ruining their belongings. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection of their basement. Our Design Specialist met with the homeowners and took a detailed look at the basement to find where and why water was entering the basement. We found the water was seeping through the 60+-year-old foundation wall during heavy periods of rain. Our Installation Team installed WaterGuard, TripleSafe, CleanSpace, IceGuard, EDL, and SaniDry Sedona in the basement to prevent water from entering the basement and ruining their belongings.
A homeowner in Lowell, Massachusetts has lived in a home over 200 years old. For 10 years, he has experienced water seepage ruining his basement walls and floor. Concerned about the health of his foundation, he reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions.
Design Specialist, Victor Tapia, visited the home to provide a free home inspection. Although many people consider a French Drain (an outside perimeter drainage system), Victor explained how trenching outside the exterior of the foundation wall can be harmful. With durable soil being removed from along the foundation walls, the structural integrity is at risk, especially an old cobblestone foundation. This could cause basement walls to bow, lean, and even collapse. Victor instead recommended an indoor perimeter waterproofing system. This system is composed of our WaterGuard perimeter drainage, UltraSump sump pump, and CleanSpace vapor barrier. The system collects water along the border of the foundation and distributes it to the sump pump basin. From there, the sump pump expels water safely out of the home through an exterior discharge line. The CleanSpace vapor barrier captures any additional water that seeps through the wall and filters it to the WaterGuard system. With the wall encapsulated, moisture in the basement is also alleviated.
With a little TLC, this 200-year-old chamber is turned into a beautiful dry basement!
Faced with frozen pipes, falling lally columns, and rotted wood, the homeowners in Bedford, MA knew they needed to reinforce their haven. A business in Londonderry, New Hampshire was growing and needed to install two loading docks onto their existing building. They needed to have the foundation checked before they could begin to install the loading docks. Our Design Specialist met with the building manager and inspected the building and discussed their plans. In order to properly support the weight of the docks and have a safe distribution of weight, we recommended installing Helical Piers beneath the footings. Our team also installed GeoLock wall anchors to ensure the foundation walls didn't buckle or lean during their project.
