Our Design Specialist, Peter Carstean, recommended installing SmartJacks in the crawl space to stabilize the above floor. Our installation crew installed a total of 7 SmartJacks. They were installed by inserting galvanized steel plates on top of crushed stone, creating a sturdy base. Supplemental beams were installed along the top of the crawl space and connected to the steel plates with the SmartJack posts. Once installed, the SmartJacks were then raised to lift and level the sunken floors.

These crawl space support jacks stabilize the floor while offering more support to the home. These homeowners can now replace their flooring with confidence that it won't get damaged due to sinkage.

Drywall had to be removed in order to access the crack, as it wasn't possible to reach the crack from the outside. The crack was filled using a polyurethane injection, as well as an epoxy caulking on the surface.
