A customer who had previously installed a TripleSafe with 3 feet of WaterGuard in their basement from Northeast Basement Systems reached out to have a more comprehensive system installed. However, they were surprised to find out that NEBS had closed its doors in January 2022. When they called the number, they were routed to EFS and learned that they do similar work and use the same Basement Systems products. The customer care team arranged for a Design Specialist named Liam FitzPatrick to inspect the basement. After thoroughly inspecting the basement, Liam recommended installing WaterGuard, another TripleSafe, IceGuard, Sani Dry Sedona, SmartJacks, Supplemental Beam, and NexusPro to address all of their concerns. 

The Installation Team led by Anthony Locascio began by chipping out concrete for perimeter drainage, an additional sump pump, and footings for supports. The team then installed 30 feet of WaterGuard, a TripleSafe basin, and eight footings of SmartJacks. Then, the team moved on to plumbing the TripleSafe to the exterior of the home where they installed two IceGuard and a drainage line to carry water away from the foundation. The team then measured and cut each SmartJack support to size to support the floor system. Once all of the supports were cut to the correct length, they were installed into the footing and attached to the main beam or to the eight Supplemental Beams to strengthen the floor system. The team mixed concrete to pour over the WaterGuard, around the basin of the TripleSafe, and over the SmartJack footings to lock them in place. The last things on the list were to seal 50 feet of floor cracks in the basement with NexusPro and to install the SaniDry Sedona next to the new TripleSafe. 

The homeowners were very pleased with the installation of everything in their basement.

A homeowner in Topsfield, Massachusetts, purchased their home about a month ago. The homeowners don't like the temporary support post and were looking to upgrade to a more permanent solution. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection, and our Design Specialist recommended replacing each of the temporary posts with lally columns. 

Our production team arrived at the home and began removing the old temporary posts from the basement. Once removed the team created footings in the concrete slab and installed the lally columns. The team secured each lally to the floor system above to add support to the home.

Sandra C of Topsfield, MA inherited a home and was immediately faced with a major problem. She noticed her home had a large gap in the floor where her home and sunroom meet above her garage. She became very frightened that her home was going to "fall apart", so she gave Erickson Foundation Supportworks a call to check it out. She was very determined to have it fixed and decided to go ahead and have us check it out as soon as possible.

Shortly after giving us a call, an inspection date was set up. Upon inspection of the home, John Prince an Erickson Foundation Supportworks System Design Specialist immediately noticed that her garage and sunroom area was sinking down a hill. Her home lied on top of a hill where the soil was being washed down the hill, which resulted in her garage and sunroom area sinking with it. It was determined that push piers were needed to stabilize the home and put it back into place. John's designed a repair system that required 8 push piers to be installed in the garage portion of the home. His design also suggested 5 geo-lock systems that would assist with stabilizing the foundation wall. She jumped at the opportunity and wanted to be in the right away.

The well-designed system worked perfectly and we were able to raise the home 5 inches which resulted in the gap of her home becoming virtually unnoticeable. While we were at the job site, the owner wanted us to help support her deck on the back of her home, so we installed EZ Post helical piers.
