Since they regularly exercise in the basement, they found that their house had a radon level of 4-5 pCi/L and contacted EFS for an inspection. A design specialist named Josh Phillips examined the basement and designed a radon mitigation system for the house.

The installation team, led by Steven Dumais, created two extraction points in the basement slab and attached radon pipes to them using a 3" core drill. The pipes were then sealed and linked together before being guided to the exterior of the house. A radon fan was installed on the outside of the house, connected to the radon pipe, and the pipe was then extended above the roofline to disperse the radon into the open air. 

After installation, the system effectively reduced the radon levels in the house to a safe level, and the homeowner was pleased with the results of the radon mitigation system.
