Melissa S. of Lexington, Massachusetts has had a wet basement for about 7 years. Over the course of the last year, water leaking through the foundation had gotten significantly worse. She reached out to us with the goal of keeping her storage safe, improving the value of her home, and just wanting to keep the basement dry overall.

Our Design Specialist went out to the Lexington home to complete an inspection. After completing the inspection, our specialist proposed a waterproofing system that would keep the basement fully dry all the time. The main components of this system included our WaterGuard perimeter drainage system and TripleSafe sump pump. Other components to this system included our IceGuard system and an exterior discharge line. This system works by capturing water at the perimeter of the foundation by WaterGuard and filtering it to the sump pump without being exposed to the basement. The TripleSafe sump pump disposes water out of the home safely through the exterior discharge line. IceGuard is added to the exterior drainage line to allow water to flow freely despite freezing temperatures. This prevents pipes from freezing and becoming clogged.

Once this system was installed by our installation crew, they did a final walkthrough with the homeowner to recap the work that was done and ask if there were any questions. Melissa was thrilled that her basement is now safe and dry.

Since a company closed its doors in our service area we have been offering our services to their old customers to maintain their sump pump systems. 

This old customer of that company reached out to us because their sump pump had stopped working. We had scheduled our Service Technician Justin Colin to perform maintenance on the sump pump to see if he could get it running again. After working on the pump for a little while with no luck, Justin had a conversation with the homeowner about purchasing and installing a new TripleSafe in their basement. Justin had also recommended installing 14 feet of drainage into the basement to collect more water and protect the basement from further water intrusion. 

Our installation team led by Eric Witham began by chipping out 14 feet of concrete. This will allow us to install a new sump pump and drainage to keep the basement dry. Once the system was installed the team plumbed the sump pump to the exterior of the home where we installed the exterior drainage. We tested the system by flooding the drainage with water and pumping out the water. After the test was complete the team began pouring concrete over the drainage and around the sump pump basin. 

The homeowners were pleased with EFS and plan on using us in the future for any more waterproofing needs. 

A homeowner residing in Lexington, Massachusetts has been living in their house since 1974 and has made multiple improvements over the years. Recently, they decided to address the pest and insulation issues in their crawlspace, and they contacted EFS for a free inspection. During the inspection, Design Specialist Kenny Calabrese identified sagging beams in the crawlspace and recommended installing CleanSpace Encapsulation, Rim Joist Insulation, EverLast Crawlspace Door, and SmartJacks.

The installation team cleared out debris to prepare for the installation of the products. They then installed 3 SmartJacks under the main beam for additional support. Following that, CleanSpace Encapsulation was installed on the floors and walls. The encapsulation was secured using strong white adhesive tape, and rim joist insulation was sprayed around the perimeter of the crawlspace to completely encapsulate the space. Finally, the team installed the EverLast Crawlspace door to prevent pests from entering the area.

After the installation, the homeowners were provided with complete confidence in the stability of the crawlspace. The space was now fully encapsulated, and supports were added under the main beam, making the space secure and protected against pests and cold drafts.

A homeowner in Lexington, Massachusetts, had lived in their home for the past 7 years. Since they moved into their home 7 years ago they have always noticed the cracks in the garage. The cracks in the garage have allowed mice to enter their garage. The homeowner decided to call EFS for a free inspection, and our design specialist recommended installing crack sealant, slab repour, and replacing a lally column. 

Our production team began by sealing the cracks on the foundation wall of the garage. After the cracks have sealed the team then demoed the front half of the garage so they could replace it. The team used jackhammers to remove the concrete from the garage. After all of the concrete was removed the team installed a new lally column and called a company to deliver a concrete truck to the home. The team poured, smoothed, and leveled the new concrete in the garage and left it to cure. Once the concrete had cured the team removed the forms from the garage and trimmed off any imperfections from the concrete. 

The homeowner was happy with the results of the project. They no longer have to worry about mice or water entering their garage. 

After owning their home in Lexington, Massachusetts, for two months, this homeowner decided they would like to have the breezeway in the front of the house converted to a sunroom. Before they can convert the space they want to make sure the concrete floor is level and doesn't have any tripping hazards. In the breezeway next to the front door there is an area of concrete that has sunken down an inch. This has caused a tripping hazard that the homeowner would like to have repaired. A Design Specialist from EFS inspected the breezeway. The Design Specialist recommended installing PolyLevel and NexusPro to lift, level, and seal the concrete in the breezeway.

The PolyLevel Crew from EFS injected PolyLevel under the concrete and leveled the breezeway. After the breezeway was leveled the crew sealed any cracks or gaps with NexusPro. 

This homeowner in Lexington, Massachusetts recently purchased her childhood home. She is planning on doing manageable renovations to increase the value of the home. She had completed a couple of renovations already but now has started working on the garage. Water from the driveway has been entering the garage and has caused some damage. She decided to call EFS for a free inspection. 

Design Specialist Brian Swindell inspected the foundation and garage of the home. Brian discovered that there is some void below the slab in the garage that he recommend filling before attempting to lift the slab. To help stop the water from entering the garage Brian recommended installing Trench Drain at the mouth of the garage with a downspout. 

Crew Lead Nick Melo and his team lifted the mouth of the garage to level and then filled the void under the slab. After the PolyLevel was injected, the team installed the Trench Drain at the mouth of the garage.  

This homeowner in Lexington, Massachusetts was experiencing cracking in the basement of their home/business. The family is staying with the family business for good and wants to repair the issues correctly. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection.
