Job Stories From Laconia, NH
Community Pool Repair in Laconia, NH

Recently in Laconia, NH, we had the opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to providing remarkable customer experiences and reliable, long-lasting solutions. A local homeowner's association reached out to us with a problem that was affecting their shared pool area. Over time, sun exposure had caused the concrete around the pool to sink, creating unsightly tripping hazards that diminished the pool’s appeal and raised concerns for safety among residents.

Understanding the urgency of the situation—for both the beauty and safety of the community area—our Customer Care team quickly arranged for System Design Specialist Jason Vachon from our sales team to inspect the site. Jason discovered that indeed several sections of the concrete had settled significantly, creating uneven surfaces and cracks. After thoroughly assessing the area, we recommended a combo of PolyLevel for lifting and stabilizing the sunken concrete, and NexusPro for sealing the cracks and joints to prevent further deterioration. Our Production Team then sprang into action. The precision and effectiveness of PolyLevel allowed us to carefully lift the slabs back to their original position, thus eliminating the tripping hazards. NexusPro was applied to ensure that once repaired, the cracks wouldn't be setting the stage for future problems by allowing water to seep underneath the slabs.

The transformation was both immediate and prominent. Not only was the aesthetic of the pool area restored, but the safety was significantly improved —putting the community's concerns to rest. It was another proud day for us, showcasing how we could turn a complex problem into a sleek, straightforward solution.

Protecting Collectibles Stored in Basement in Laconia, NH

Recently, we had the pleasure of helping a homeowner from Laconia, NH, who ran into a challenging situation. They’ve been using their basement as a storage space for an assortment of collectibles, only to discover these precious items were getting damaged due to persistent moisture and water issues. Our team was immediately on the ball after the homeowner got in touch, understanding just how much was at stake.

Our process kicked off with a home visit from one of our experienced System Design Specialists, Matthew Robichaud. First, he conducted a comprehensive inspection to pinpoint the source of the water issue. Then, given the importance of protecting those invaluable collectibles, Matthew recommended a tailored solution that included the installation of a WaterGuard interior drainage system, a TripleSafe Sump Pump to effectively manage and pump out water, an IceGuard system to prevent freezing during the colder months, and a SaniDry Sedona to control humidity and filter the air for a healthier environment. Our expert production team, led by our seasoned foreman Mike Lyall, wasted no time getting to work. They meticulously installed each component, ensuring every detail was accounted for so the basement would remain dry and secure.

The homeowner’s relief was palpable once we walked them through the completed work, showing them a basement transformed into a safe haven for their beloved collectibles. This job from start to finish was marked by enthusiastic teamwork and close communication with the homeowner, ensuring their concerns were addressed every step of the way. Cracked Concrete Repair in Laconia, NH

Dawn G. of Laconia, New Hampshire hated the way the pool patio looked. Concrete cracks and sinking concrete resulted in trip hazards, as well as a less attractive appearance. Looking to revive the pool deck for her grandchildren, she reached out to our Erickson team.

Design Specialist, Jason Vachon, went out to the home to conduct a free home inspection. After concluding the inspection, Jason recommended installing PolyLevel concrete leveling and NexusPro crack repair. PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam that is used to fill voids underneath concrete slabs, which lift and level them. Our installation crew filled the voids, almost instantly restoring the sunken concrete back to its original state. Once the concrete was lifted in place, NexusPro was applied to the concrete joints and cracks. This sealant prevents further concrete settling and cracking.

Water Leaking into Basement, Laconia, NH

A Laconia, New Hampshire homeowner has been living in their home for ten years and has been experiencing periodic water entry into their basement. They are seeking a solution to prevent water from entering their basement so that they can make better use of the space. To address this issue, the homeowner contacted EFS for a free inspection of their basement. Our Design Specialist, Jared Pavluvcik, met with the homeowner and conducted a thorough inspection of the basement. Based on his findings, Jared recommended installing 130' of WaterGuard, a SuperSump, IceGuard, and a SaniDry Sedona to prevent water collection in the basement.

After the homeowner accepted the recommendation, our Installation team, led by Branden Edwards, began by chipping out a 6-inch wide trench around the basement to install the perimeter drainage and sump pump below the slab. The team then laid the sump in the lowest corner of the basement and installed the perimeter drainage into the trench. The sump was plumbed to the exterior of the home, where it would be carried away by our drainage line. The team then mixed concrete and covered the perimeter drainage and sump pump to secure them in place. After the concrete was cured, the team installed the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to manage moisture in the basement.

The results of the project were satisfactory to the homeowner, who no longer has to worry about water entering their basement. They can now proceed with finishing their basement.
