Concerned about the cold and potential moisture problems, they reached out to us at Erickson Foundation Solutions, seeking a comfortable, and dry solution.
Upon receiving their call, our Customer Care team promptly scheduled a home inspection to get to the root of the problem. Our System Design Specialist Jason Vachon visited the home, inspecting the crawl space thoroughly, and pinpointed poor insulation coupled with a wet environment as the culprit behind the freezing floors. We recommended a trio of solutions: SmartJack for stabilization, CleanSpace to seal off moisture, and SilverGlow for its superior insulation qualities. The family trusted us to move forward, and our production team rolled up their sleeves and got to work. The team started by installing the SmartJack system to ensure the crawl space was structurally sound. Next, they tackled the moisture issue head-on by encapsulating the area with our CleanSpace vapor barrier, effectively sealing out unwanted dampness. Finally, they wrapped up the job by applying SilverGlow insulation, not just any insulation, but one designed specifically for spaces just like this, sealing the deal on warmth and energy efficiency.

Upon making contact with our Customer Care team, a home inspection was promptly scheduled. Our System Design Specialist Chuck Benedict then visited the home to understand the project's scope and determine the best course of action. We prescribed the installation of 5 Helical Piers for this project. The installation process went smoothly, thanks to our experienced production team consisting of a dedicated foreman Neal Foley and skilled installers. Helical Piers are especially quality-driven products designed for scenarios like this – providing stability to structures by anchoring them deeply into more stable soil layers beneath the less stable surface layer.
The result? A solid foundation for the new deck, providing peace of mind to the homeowners that their investment is secure. The deck is now ready to be enjoyed without the worry of shifting or settling, ensuring countless seasons of enjoyment and relaxation outdoors. When a family in Salem, NH, started noticing a musty smell wafting through their home and unwelcoming sags in their living room floor, they knew it was time to call for help. Concerned about the safety and well-being of their home, they reached out to us at Erickson Foundation Solutions. Like many homeowners, their problem could be traced back to an often overlooked area - the crawl space. Wet conditions had not only encouraged musty odors but had led to wood rot and the weakening of wooden supports under their house. Understanding the distress a sagging floor and a damp crawl space can cause a family, we aimed to put their worries to rest.
Following our tried-and-tested process, our System Design Specialist Mark Proctor conducted a thorough inspection and saw the full extent of the damage. He recommended a three-fold approach to ensure a dry, safe, and stable home foundation. Our ultimate solution included the SmartJack system to address and fix structural issues causing the sagging floors by reinforcing the existing wooden supports. To transform the damp neverland under the house into a clean and dry area, the CleanSpace liner was installed, creating a vapor barrier that keeps moisture out. Lastly, the SaniDry Sedona was added to regulate humidity, further ensuring the crawl space remains dry and free of that unwelcoming musty smell. The job was completed seamlessly by our committed team of foreman Anthony LoCascio and installers, who made sure everything was thoroughly explained and cleaned up before they left the property.
The results spoke volumes— not only was the house finally free of the musty smell and the floors were stabilized, but the homeowners could now enjoy peace of mind knowing their home was resting on a secure foundation.
Recently, a homeowner from Salem, NH, found themselves facing a rather unsettling situation. Quite literally. Over time, the foundations of their cherished home began to let signs of grievous wear show, marked by cracking along the exterior of the foundation. This alarming discovery was more than just an aesthetic issue—it signaled potential for larger structural problems that could affect the safety and integrity of their home. Knowing the urgency of their situation, they reached out to us at Erickson Foundation Solutions, seeking a robust and reliable fix.
Our approach commenced with a thorough inspection of the home by our System Design Specialist Nikki Burke, a vital step to ensuring we grasp the full scope and scale of the issue at hand. The diagnosis was clear: settlement had taken a toll on the home's foundation, necessitating immediate intervention. The solution we prescribed was the installation of Push Piers, a proven method for addressing and reversing the effects of settlement. This choice was driven by our commitment to offering not just a fix, but a lasting resolution to such critical issues. Our foreman Neal Foley and team of skilled installers then took the helm, embarking on the task with precision and care. By driving the Push Piers deep into the soil beneath the home, we were able to effectively anchor the foundation, stabilizing the structure from below and preventing further movement.
The results spoke volumes. Not only were we able to halt the progression of the foundation's deterioration, but we also restored the homeowner’s peace of mind, ensuring their dwelling was secure once more. The process, from initial evaluation to the final cleanup, exemplified our mission to deliver a remarkable customer experience rooted in reliability and lasting solutions.
At Erickson Foundation Solutions, we recently had the opportunity to help a Salem, NH homeowner improve the condition of their crawl space, ensuring it was dry, secure, and usable for years to come. Initially, the homeowner reached out to our team with concerns about their crawl space's long-term health. They wanted to prevent any potential damage that might arise from moisture, mold growth, or structural weaknesses.
Our approach began with a simple phone call to our diligent Customer Care team, where an appointment was set for a thorough home inspection. One of our skilled System Design Specialists Mark Proctor then performed this inspection, pinpointed the root issues, and recommended a tailored solution that would secure the homeowner's peace of mind. The personalized solution for this particular project involved installing our TripleSafe Sump Pump, IceGuard, and a SaniDry Sedona system, in addition to 18 SmartJacks which were a critical step in stabilizing the crawl space structure. The TripleSafe Sump Pump was key to keeping the area dry under any condition, the IceGuard system ensured proper discharge even in the chilly Salem winters, and the SaniDry Sedona effectively removed dampness and potential mold-triggering humidity from the air. Our skilled production team, consisting of dedicated foreman Justin Broussard and our expert installers, meticulously worked to transform the homeowner's crawl space into a dry, safe space.
Post-installation, they made certain the site was clean, leaving no trace of work other than an enhanced foundation and prevention against long-term damage. Not only does this project highlight our commitment to providing a remarkable customer experience, but it also showcases our expertise in offering reliable and long-lasting solutions.
At Erickson Foundation Solutions, we recently tackled a significant challenge for a homeowner in Salem, NH, whose crawlspace had become a magnet for water infiltration from every possible angle. Understandably, this problem caused considerable distress, fostering an unhealthy environment beneath their home that could potentially jeopardize their home's structural integrity.
Our journey with the Salem homeowner began with an easy call to our Customer Care team, who expedited setting an appointment for our System Design Specialist to inspect the problems firsthand. Upon a thorough examination of their crawlspace, it was clear that a robust, comprehensive solution was necessary to ensure permanent dryness and peace of mind. Enter our recommended a two-pronged approach: CleanSpace and the TripleSafe Sump Pump. The CleanSpace liner is designed to permanently keep moisture out, enveloping the area in a water-vapor-proof membrane. On the other hand, the TripleSafe Sump Pump, a linchpin in our arsenal against water intrusion, offers three levels of drainage assurance, ensuring that even the heaviest downpour or electrical outage wouldn’t leave the crawlspace waterlogged. Our expert production team swung into action, installing these solutions with precision and care. Each step of the process involved detailed attention, ensuring every square inch of the crawlspace was covered by CleanSpace, while the TripleSafe was strategically placed to pump out any water efficiently that dares enter.
The project outcome was crystal clear: a completely transformed, dry, and healthy crawlspace, providing the homeowner not just with an immediate solution but permanent peace of mind. The partnership between our skilled team and state-of-the-art products proved again our mission; addressing foundational problems with determined, trusted solutions, even under a home.
Recently in Salem, NH, a homeowner reached out to us with concerns about their house. They were troubling over a musty smell permeating their living spaces and uneven, sinking floors that made every step through the house feel like a hazard. Aware of the discomfort and risks these issues posed, the homeowner knew it was time for a professional touch and entrusted Erickson Foundation Solutions to tackle the challenge.
Upon contacting our friendly Customer Care team, an appointment was promptly set. System Design Specialist Nikki Burke from our Sales Team, equipped with expertise and a keen eye for detail, made a thorough inspection of the property. The diagnosis pointed towards an issue we've seen and effectively dealt with before: the crawl space needed urgent attention. The musty smell was traced back to excessive moisture underneath the house, compromising the air quality above. Moreover, the sinking floors were a classic symptom of inadequate support from below. Armed with this knowledge, our team presented the homeowner with a clear solution: install the SmartJack system to securely lift and stabilize the flooring, and the CleanSpace encapsulation system to seal out moisture effectively. Our dedicated production team sprang into action, installing SmartJack to bring solid stability back to the floors. The transformation was palpable, each step now firm and safe. Next, by enveloping the crawl space with the CleanSpace liner, we locked out moisture, bidding the musty odors farewell and giving the homeowner a breath of fresh air—literally.
Witnessing their worries dissolve as their home turned safer and more comfortable, the homeowner was thankful for the significant improvement—a classic example of Erickson Foundation Solutions delivering not just remedies, but peace of mind.
Recently, a homeowner in Salem, NH, noticed water seeping through their basement’s bulkhead door every time it rained. This was more than just an inconvenience; it was threatening the foundations of their home. Understanding the severity of the issue, they reached out to us at Erickson Foundation Solutions.
True to our reputation for providing a stress-free and competent service, we swung into action. First off, our friendly Customer Care team booked the homeowner in for a comprehensive home inspection. Our System Design Specialist, Bryan Barnard, visited the property to walk through the problem areas. The diagnosis was groundwater seepage, a challenge we were all too familiar with and more than equipped to manage. For this specific case, we suggested installing our reliable WaterGuard drainage system alongside the SuperSump pump. These solutions are designed to work in tandem – the WaterGuard intercepts the water at the foundation level and guides it to the SuperSump, which then efficiently pumps it out and away from the home. By executing a thorough plan laid out by Bryan, our adept installation team transformed what could have been a recurring nightmare into a one-off job. We worked diligently, installing the specified products, making sure every hitch was addressed.
The homeowner’s basement is now dry, and the bulkhead door no longer leaks, which means more than just dry floors. There's peace of mind knowing their foundation remains secure against what was a persistent intrusion. The result of our work is twofold: one, the homeowner's immediate problem was resolved, drying off the basement and effectively waterproofing it from further leaking issues. And two, but equally important, we provided a solution that packs longevity.
A homeowner in Salem, New Hampshire had a finished basement that was ruined by water seeping in. The homeowners suspected that the pond at the front of the home was responsible for the water damage. They contacted EFS for a free inspection, and our Design Specialist, Liam FitzPatrick, met with them and inspected the basement to identify the cause of the problem. After the inspection, Liam recommended installing a perimeter drainage system to prevent water from seeping into the basement again.
Our installation team, led by Anthony LoCascio, began by chipping away the concrete along the perimeter. Then, they installed our WaterGuard, TrenchDrain, and TripleSafe Sump Pump to protect each wall of the basement with perimeter drainage. After the installation of the drainage and sump pump, the team plumbed the system to the exterior of the home, where they installed our IceGuard and a buried exterior drainage line. Once the exterior drainage was in place, the team mixed concrete and poured it over the WaterGuard and around the TripleSafe to secure the system.
While the concrete was curing, the team installed our SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier beside the TripleSafe, so that the moisture from the dehumidifier would drain into the sump pump basin. With the system fully installed, the homeowner won't have to worry about water seeping into the basement again. They can now proceed with repairs to refinish the walls and floors.
A homeowner in Salem, New Hampshire, had lived in their home since 1992. The home was built with a block foundation in 1945 and the foundation had been flooding with every rainstorm. This year the homeowner went on a little vacation a short drive from the house and had to return early to remove water from the basement. They plan on keeping this home forever because of their proximity to their kids and grandkids.
They reached out to EFS for a free inspection of their basement. Our Design Specialist Michael LaMalfa met with the homeowner and examined the basement to find a solution to prevent further water penetration.
Michael recommended installing 2 TripleSafes, 4 IceGuards, 80 feet of WaterGuard, 12 feet of TrenchDrain, and a 20-foot exterior drainage line into the basement.
Our installation team began by chipping out concrete so we could install our perimeter drainage and sump pumps into the basement. Once the concrete was removed we installed our sump pumps and drainage so we could collect any water from the basement. The team plumbed the system to the exterior of the home and into our exterior drainage system to guide the water away from the foundation of the home. Next, the system was flood-tested to ensure the system was working properly. After the test, we mixed concrete and poured it over the perimeter drainage and around the sump pump basins. to lock the system into place.
While the concrete was curing the team cleaned up all of their tools and then took the homeowners on a walkthrough of the completed project. The homeowners were very pleased with the results of the installation.
A homeowner in Salem, New Hampshire, had lived in their home for the past 30 years. The home was built in the 1950s and had a concrete block foundation. Over the years the homeowner had noticed the block foundation wall start to look its age, the mortar was starting to come loose and the wall had begun to bow. Finally, after watching the wall get worse over the years, the homeowners decided to call someone to take a look at the foundation. Our design specialist Jason recommended replacing a section of the block foundation wall with a new masonry wall.
Our masonry team began the project by adding temporary support to the foundation. The temporary supports will support the home when the team removed the wall. After the supports were installed the team began excavating the dirt away from the foundation until they reached the footing of the wall. Once they reached the footing of the wall the team started removing the foundation wall. The team fully removed the wall and hauled away the debris so they could start making the new masonry wall. The first step to begin making the masonry wall is to pour a footing where the team can lay the first row of blocks. After the first row of blocks was installed, the masonry blocks were laid one by one until the wall was finished. After the team laid all of the blocks they installed SentrySeal to waterproof the masonry wall. Once the waterproofing was installed, the team backfilled the dirt that they excavated. During our team's time at this home, the crew noticed that one of the walls that were connected to the wall that they were building seemed to be bowing. Our crew notified the homeowner and recommended to them to have us install PowerBraces. The homeowner felt like it was important to the stability of their home to have the PowerBraces installed. After the team completed the masonry wall, they moved to the adjacent wall and installed 5 PowerBraces on the wall. The PowerBraces are mounted to the base of the wall and then into the floor joists. The team used a special bracket which allowed them to brace the wall using the home as leverage. After the team installed the PowerBraces, the job was completed.
The homeowner was very happy with the results of the project. They no longer have to worry about the foundation of their home bowing anymore.
A homeowner in Salem, New Hampshire, had been referred to us by a past customer. The homeowner thought they had some settlement and waterproofing issues so their friend recommended EFS. Our design specialist Chris inspected the home for settlement and waterproofing. Chris didn't find anything concerning about the foundation but the homeowner also wanted to address water entering their basement, so Chris recommended installing WaterGuard and a TripleSafe.
Our production team began by chipping out the concrete around the perimeter of the basement. The team chipped out 119' of concrete so they could install WaterGuard into the basement. After the team chipped out all of the concrete, they began to lay the WaterGuard in the trench at the base of the wall. The team connected each section of WaterGuard until all 119' was linked with the perimeter drain. After the WaterGuard was complete, the team installed the TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe is connected to the perimeter drain so any water that entered the WaterGuard will run down into the Triplesafe basin and then when the water gets high enough in the basin the pump will push the water outside via the drainage line. Once the WaterGuard and TripleSafe are linked up the team covered the WaterGuard and around the basin of the TripleSafe with concrete to conceal the system.
The homeowner was very happy their friend referred a quality company to address the concerns in their home. The homeowner no longer has to worry about water entering their home.
A homeowner in Salem, New Hampshire, had just purchased a home and was concerned about radon. They hadn't moved into the home yet because one of the homeowners had a pre-existing condition that required them to have a radon mitigation system installed in their home. Our design specialist dropped off a Continuous Radon Monitoring (CRM) Device to test for radon in their home. The results from the test average were around 5 pCi/L with lows of 2 and highs of 10. Our design specialist recommended installing a radon mitigation system in the home.
Our radon team installed a radon mitigation system into the home. They had begun the installation by chipping out a small section of the basement slab to install a radon pipe. The team connected the radon pipe to the radon fan and more PVC piping to vent the radon above the roofline of the home. To ensure that radon doesn't seep through the floor the homeowners were tasked with filling the oil line in the basement to seal the floor.
The homeowners were very pleased with the installation of the radon mitigation system. The system was crucial for them to move into their new home.

Design Specialist Stephen Caron inspected the home. While inspecting the garage Stephen had found some cracks that were raised about 1/2". This homeowner in Salem, New Hampshire had an issue where their basement was holding in a lot of moisture. The homeowners didn't want to store their belongings in the basement while having a lot of moisture down there. Design Specialist Chris Greenwood inspected the basement. Chris recommended installing a Sani Dry system that will take the moisture out of the air and bring it down to a more comfortable level.
Crew Lead Dillon Kingsbury and his team arrived at the home and installed the Sani Dry System into the basement. The Sani Dry brought the moisture down to a level where the homeowners were comfortable storing their belonging in the basement.
This homeowner in Salem, New Hampshire had a flood in their basement and it ruined the finished area. The basement had two sump pumps in the basement. When the water was pushed outside of the home it froze. Once the water froze in the pipe, the sump pumps couldn't push the water through the system. The water eventually backed up into the basement. The homeowners decided to call EFS for a free inspection to make sure something like this wouldn't happen again.
Design Specialist Chris Greenwood inspected the home and the sump pumps. The sump pumps worked but had one crucial flaw, no Freeze Guard. Living in New England the weather is very hot and cold. During the summer it can hit almost 100 degrees and in the winter it can hit 0 degrees, so a system must be able to work in both extremes. Sump pumps have sections of pipe that are either laid on top of the ground or in the ground to expel the water away from the home. During the time in this pipe, depending on the temperature, the water can heat up or cool down. In freezing temperatures the water can freeze in the pipe. Freeze Guard allows water that has been blocked by a clog or frozen water in the pipe to overflow out of the pipe and not back into the basement. Chris recommended installing new sump pumps with Freeze Guard.
Crew Lead Ed Nadreau and his team came to the home and installed two Ultra Sumps and 2 Freeze Guards.

Homeowner Stephen W. of Salem, New Hampshire had a beautiful pool set up in his backyard. Over the years, wear and tear ran its course, and the patio around the pool was sunken, cracked, uneven, and discolored all over. More and more, Stephen was spending time out by his pool with his family and was tired of all the trip hazards and unsightly cracks throughout the patio. He decided it was time to look into fixing the problem, and so reached out to Erickson Foundation Supportworks for a solution. Ultimately, Stephen wished to improve the quality of his family's life.
Design specialist Nate Erickson proposed a three-step process to lift and level the uneven sections of concrete, resurface the top, and protect it all with SealantPro.
The first step involved injecting PolyLevel beneath the slab to fill the voids and level out as much of the patio as possible. Once the concrete was stable and even, the crew then sealed all the cracks, large and small. Day 2 of the project entailed resurfacing the entire pool patio area, covering up all the discolorations and imperfections. Once the new surface had time to cure, the final step was to apply SealantPro to complete the total concrete protection system.
Replacing the existing patio would have been a lengthy, expensive undertaking. Removing the concrete and coordinating a crew and truck to pour a new slab would have taken a lot of time and effort. This was not an option for Stephen.
In the end, Stephen received his desired outcome. A new patio. The surface is now even, crack-free, and pleasant to look at.
