Radon Extraction Point
An extraction point was created in the basement's foundation floor to depressurize the sub-slab area and facilitate radon removal. A PVC pipe was then installed at the extraction point, allowing for the safe and efficient removal of radon gas from beneath the home's foundation.

Additional Radon Extraction Point
Given the elevated radon levels in the home, an additional extraction point was necessary to maintain minimal radon concentrations. The PVC pipes from these extraction points were combined and directed to the exterior of the home through the siding, ensuring effective radon mitigation.

Radon Fan
The radon fan is mounted to the PVC pipe on the exterior of the home. This fan actively extracts radon from beneath the home's slab, preventing it from infiltrating the basement and the rest of the house. Additional PVC piping extends from the radon fan beyond the roofline, ensuring the safe and effective expulsion of radon gas.

Radon Manometer
Our radon mitigation system includes a radon manometer, which measures the efficiency of the radon fan's operation. This device provides a visual indication, ensuring that the radon mitigation system is functioning correctly and effectively drawing radon from beneath the home.

Basement Dehumidifier
Beyond protecting their home from radon gas, the homeowners aimed to create a dry and comfortable living environment for their children. The SaniDry XP, a high-performance basement dehumidifier, ensures cleaner air by effectively removing mold spores and musty odors.
