Radon Extraction Point
An extraction point was made through the foundation floor in the finished basement to allow PVC pipe to fit through. This allows a pathway for radon gas to safely be extracted from the soil underneath the home. The PVC pipe is then routed to the exterior of the home.

Radon Fan
Once the PVC pipe reaches the outside of the home, the radon fan is installed to it. The radon fan actively draws radon from the soil underneath the home. Additional PVC pipe is then installed to the fan and constructed above the roofline, safely releasing radon gas far away from any entry points of the home.

Radon Manometer
The radon manometer ensures the radon system is working properly by gauging the amount the fan is drawing. This provides a visual representation that the home is safeguarded from radon gas.

Custom Sump Cover
The sump pump already installed in the home had an open basin. It is essential that all cracks and openings in the basement are sealed, as it makes radon much easier to seep through. We provided a custom airtight lid to the sump pump to further prevent radon from entering the home.
