Radon Extraction Point
An extraction point was made in the basement floor to allow radon gas to be drawn from the soil underneath it. PVC pipe was fit to the extraction point and constructed to the outside of the home.
Radon Fan
Once the PVC pipe reached the exterior of the home, the radon fan was installed to it. The radon fan is designed to draw radon out from underneath the home's foundation, preventing it from seeping into the basement.
Removing Radon Above Roofline
Additional PVC pipe was installed to the radon fan and was configured to surpass the roofline. This provides a safe removal of radon, as it is also far away from any entry points of the home.
