Radon Gas Mitigation Photo Album: Installing Radon Mitigation System Before Seling Home in Plaistow, NH
A homeowner in Plaistow, NH had their home tested for radon gas as they started the home selling process. Their results showed radon levels at roughly 5 pCi/L, which is just over the recommendation of 4 pCi/L for having a radon mitigation system installed. Not only did the homeowner want to provide a safe home for the next person to purchase the home, but also increase the property value. As seen in the photos, Erickson Foundation Solutions installed a radon mitigation system, safeguarding the home from the hazardous gas.
Radon Extraction Point
Starting work on the project, we created an extraction point in the foundation floor. PVC pipe was fit to the extraction point and extended to the exterior of the home.
Radon Fan
Our radon fan was installed as the pipe reached the outside of the home. This fan draws radon out from the soil underneath the home, and releases it above the roofline, far away from any entry points.
Radon Monometer
The radon monometer is a visual representation that the radon mitigation system is working correctly and effectively. This measures the airflow that the radon fan draws.
