Radon Gas Mitigation Photo Album: Neighbor Recommended Installing a Radon Mitigation System, Sherborn, MA
A homeowner in Sherborn, Massachusetts, had lived in their home for the past 6 years. Their neighbors recently had a radon system installed in their home because of high radon levels, so they came over to warn the homeowners that they could have high radon levels too. The homeowner decided to test their home and the results came back at 5.8 pCi/L which is above the recommended amount for radon. They then decided to call EFS for a free inspection and our Design Specialist Kenny recommended and designed a radon mitigation system for the home.
The installation team began by cutting a hole in the slab to use it as an extraction point. The team then attached the PVC pipe to the extraction point and fed the PVC pipe to the exterior of the home where we attached the PVC pipe to the radon fan. After the team attached the radon fan to the PVC pipe they then used more PVC pipe to vent the system above the roofline of the home.
