Radon Gas Mitigation Photo Album: Radon System Installled, Woburn, MA
A homeowner in Woburn, Massachusetts, had just moved into their home 2 weeks ago. Since moving into their home they wanted to test their home's radon levels. They set up a test in their basement and the results came back at 6.4 pCi/L. The homeowner decided to call EFS for a free radon inspection and our Design Specialist Victor recommended and designed a Radon Mitigation System for the home.
Our production team began by cutting a hole in the basement slab to create a place to extract radon from. Then the team installed a PVC pipe to the extraction point and fed the PVC pipe to the exterior of the home. The PVC was then connected to the radon fan which was installed on the side of the home. After the PVC pipe and radon fan were connected the team vented the radon system above the roofline with more PVC piping so radon cannot re-enter the home.
