Radon Gas Mitigation Photo Album: Radon Mitigation System, Newburyport, MA
A homeowner in Newburyport, Massachusetts, had lived in their home for over 6 years before they randomly decided to have a radon test done in their home. When the test results came back at 6-8 pCi/L the homeowner decided it was time to call someone about radon. They called EFS about a free radon inspection and our design specialist recommended installing a radon mitigation system into the home. The homeowners want to lower the radon levels in their home for their children's safety.
Our production team began by creating an extraction point in the slab by using a core drill. The team then attached a series of PVC pipes to the extraction point and fed the PVC pipes to the exterior of the home. Once the PVC pipes were guided to the exterior of the home the team then installed the Radon fan to the exterior of the home. The team connected the PVC pipe to the radon fan and then vented the system above the roofline of the home.
