Radon Gas Mitigation Photo Album: Radon Mitigation System, Salem, NH
A homeowner in Salem, New Hampshire, had recently purchased a home and needed it to be tested for radon. One of the homeowners had a condition that needed a radon mitigation system to be installed into the home before they moved in. EFS had the home tested for radon using a CRM, the results were averaging around 5 pCi/L. Our design specialist recommended installing a radon mitigation system in the home.
Our radon team installed the radon pipe into the basement slab. The team then connected the PVC piping to the radon fan on the outside of the home. Once the radon pipe and the fan are connected the team used more PVC piping to vent the radon system above the roofline. The radon system reduced the levels of radon in the home to a comfortable level.
Outside of Home Before
The foundation walls are 12' tall and the team was installing the radon fan on the red siding above the middle window.
Radon Pipe to be Installed
The radon pipe will be installed into the concrete to the left of the mirrors on the floor.
Radon Pipe Installed
The team installed the radon pipe into the concrete and then fed the PVC to the outside of the home to where the radon fan will be installed.
Radon Fan Installed
The team used their tallest ladder to install the radon fan and vented it above the roofline.
