In Halifax, Massachusetts, a homeowner faced the issue of his pool deck settling, which resulted in unsafe trip hazards and significant cracking. Over the last decade, this issue has even led to the displacement of the fence. The homeowner had not repaired the concrete because he was unaware of a quick and cost-effective solution like PolyLevel. After learning about PolyLevel, he contacted Erickson Foundation Solutions to restore the pool deck.
Our Design Specialist, Jim Meglio, has suggested the use of PolyLevel and NexusPro for lifting, leveling, and stabilizing the concrete surrounding the pool. The process involves injecting polyurethane foam beneath the sunken concrete to fill the voids, resulting in an immediate lift. This foam quickly hardens after application, offering a durable solution for void filling. To achieve the desired position, our installation team utilized slab jacks to support and level the concrete. Finally, NexusPro sealant was applied to the joints and cracks to inhibit future cracking and settling.
Upon completing the installation and tidying up the job site, a final walkthrough was conducted with the homeowner. The work was showcased, and any remaining questions were addressed. The homeowner was overjoyed at the prospect of using their pool again!

A homeowner in Plymouth, Massachusetts, had lived in their home for 7 years. When they moved in the pool deck had some slight cracking, but over the years the crack had gotten worse. The homeowner felt that the pool deck was becoming an eyesore and a potential hazard, so they wanted to have it repaired. Our design specialist Kenny recommended using PolyLevel and NexusPro to lift, level, and seal the pool deck.
Our PolyLevel crew started the project by drilling port holes in the concrete. The port holes were used to allow the team to inject PolyLevel under each slab so we can lift and level it. The team injected PolyLevel into each port hole to gently lift each slab. The team made sure that each slab was lifted and leveled. After each slab was lifted and leveled the team began sealing the control joints around the pool deck. The team used NexusPro to seal all of the control joints around the pool to prevent water from washing away the soil from under the pool deck.
The homeowner was happy about the transformation of their pool deck. The pool deck is more aesthetically pleasing and doesn't have any tripping hazards that could injure their grandkids.
A home in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts, was for sale, and a potential buyer was in talks with the sellers. The conversations stemmed around something that was found in the home inspection. The home inspector had found that water was entering the partially finished basement and wanted a solution before they purchased the home. The buyer and seller contacted EFS about a free inspection. Our Design Specialist Liam recommended installing a perimeter drainage system in the basement, complete with WaterGuard, TripleSafe, IceGuard, and a SaniDry. Liam worked with the buyer and seller to figure out how much each party was financially responsible for.
Our production team began by chipping out the concrete around the perimeter of the basement so we can install the WaterGuard and TripleSafe in the basement. The team integrated the sump pump and the perimeter drainage to collect any water entering the basement and pump it outside the home. Once the WaterGuard and TripleSafe we installed in the basement, the team then plumbed the sump to the outside of the home. The team installed an IceGuard to prevent the system from backing up into the basement and then used an exterior drainage line to expel the water away from the foundation of the home. After the sump was plumbed, the team then coved the WaterGuard and around the sump pump basin with concrete to conceal the system and prevent any tripping hazards. Lastly, the team installed the SaniDry Dehumidifier next to the TripleSafe basin so the moisture the dehumidifier collects can be discharged into the sump pump.
Even with a lot of moving parts with this job the buyer and seller were very pleased with how smoothly the job went from start to finish. The buyer was especially happy because this means that they could finish the space and have their mother move into the basement after closing on the home.
This homeowner in Marshfield, MA was concerned with the condition of his stamped concrete driveway. The concrete was showing signs of cracking, and he was worried if he did not address the problem in a timely manner the situation would get worse, and more expensive to fix. He certainly took the right action, as voids were forming beneath the concrete, and as water continued to erode away the soil, the concrete was going to continue cracking and become worse.
Our design specialist proposed PolyLevel to lift the concrete in a section just outside one of the overhead garage doors where there was slight settlement. He also proposed the best solution to protect the concrete in various other sections by filling the voids wherever needed.
Our concrete repair specialists arrived on the morning of the scheduled project, and began work immediately. The first step was to set up lifting brackets with slab jacks and steel I-beams. These brackets allowed the team to lift the sunken concrete slightly, enabling them to get a more accurate lift with their PolyLevel foam injection. After successfully lifting the concrete outside the garage area, the team then injected PolyLevel at predetermined locations to further protect the concrete driveway from unwanted settlement. They then also sealed all the cracks with a gray colored NexusPro silicone, a product specifically designed for exterior application on concrete surfaces.
With his concrete driveway protected, this homeowner now has peace of mind that no further settlement will occur, and no more cracks will form.
The owner of this home in Plymouth, MA was looking for a solution to address their concerns of uneven concrete and cracks in their pool deck. They had lived in the home since 2003, and over the years the concrete settled more, trip hazards had formed, and they were always having to pull weeds out of the cracks and joints in the surface. Before the condition of the concrete got worse, or beyond the chance of repair, they decided it was time to find a contractor to fix the problem.
Our design specialist explained to them the benefits of PolyLevel as a means of lifting, leveling, and stabilizing the concrete, as opposed to mud-jacking or having to demolish and replace. By using our slabjacking, PolyLevel process, the homeowners would not have to worry about a messy procedure or having to remove or replace any landscaping in the pool patio area. They were thrilled to learn of this solution and hired our Erickson team for the job.
On the scheduled day of installation, our production team arrived and did another thorough walkthrough with the owner to ensure our team was fixing exactly what they wanted. They were able to complete the repairs in a single day, and after lifting and stabilizing the uneven concrete sections with PolyLevel, they then sealed all the cracks and joints with NexusPro. By sealing these up, rainwater can no longer flow beneath the concrete throughout the patio, and so added a level of protection against future settlement concerns.
The owners were glad to have all the trip hazards throughout the patio removed, and have a clean, level concrete deck around their inground pool once again.

This homeowner in Plymouth, MA was concerned with the concrete patio beneath their hot tub. Over the years, the concrete was showing signs of settlement, as it was cracking in different directions. This would eventually also lead to the retaining wall adjoining the concrete patio to begin to bow or fail. The homeowner wanted to fix the problem before it got worse, and so our Erickson team proposed the ideal solution.
Our production team injected PolyLevel beneath the concrete slab to ensure all the voids, that had been created over the years due to erosion, were completely filled. This would guarantee the slab, and the hot tub it supported, would be completely stabilized and protected against future settlement issues. To help further protect the concrete, they then also sealed all the cracks and joints with NexusPro. This silicone based caulking is engineered to stand up against outdoor elements such as rain and sun, and will prevent more water from flowing beneath the concrete and causing any type of erosion. With their concrete stabilized and repaired, these homeowners now have peace of mind that no further damage will happen to their patio or retaining wall.
This homeowner in Carver, MA was concerned about the condition of the concrete patio surrounding their inground pool. Over the years, he noticed how the individual slabs of the patio shifted slightly, became uneven, and some even cracked in place. Before the problem got so worse and would require total replacement, which would be costly and messy, they decided to take some action and fix it up.
Our concrete repair specialists proposed a system to lift, level, and stabilize the concrete sections with PolyLevel. The team injected the polymer foam throughout the patio as needed, and successfully evened out the surface, eliminating trip hazards and unsightly gaps. In other sections, PolyLevel was used to fill voids and stabilize in order to prevent any cracks or settlement from even occurring, and ideal protective measure to take in order to avoid a more costly repair in the future.
The cracks and joints were then also cleared out of debris and weeds, and sealed with NexusPro, a silicone based caulking designed for exterior applications. By sealing these joints, water can no longer easily flow beneath and cause erosion or lead to further settlement issues.
The end result was a clean, stable, level patio, protected against future concerns and in good shape for years to come. This homeowner found their ideal solution and is looking forward to enjoying their pool patio with no concerns.
