We installed the Helical Piers and then set up our forms and encased the piers in concrete to lock them into place.

Bedroom Basement Flood Repair in Nottingham, NH

When a homeowner in Nottingham, NH, found their freshly finished basement—converted into a cozy bedroom—succumbed to flooding during rainstorms, not only did it lead to unsightly mold but also ruined the drywall. It was clear they needed a lasting solution to bring peace of mind back into their home. That's when they called on us at Erickson Foundation Solutions.

Our journey began with a call to our Customer Care team, who promptly arranged an inspection appointment. Upon arrival, our System Design Specialist Bryan Barnard conducted a meticulous inspection to determine the source and extent of the problem. Recognizing the homeowners' distress, we recommended an effective trio of solutions: the WaterGuard drainage system, UltraSump Pump System, and IceGuard for the discharge lines. These systems collectively aimed to ensure water mishaps would be a thing of the past. Our production team treaded carefully, ensuring the installation process was as undisruptive as possible. We installed WaterGuard along the basement’s perimeter to capture wall and floor joint leaks, channeling water safely away. The UltraSump Pump System, designed to handle high volumes of water, was set up to swiftly deport water outside the house. Additionally, to counterblock freezing or clogging, we employed IceGuard on the exterior discharge lines.

After the work, not only did we tidily clean up - ensuring the homeowner’s property was left in pristine condition, but we also left behind a secured basement ready to withstand the vigours of rainy seasons. No fear of future floods or ensuing mold. For the Nottingham homeowner, what once was a source of constant worry, their basement bedroom now is a dry, serene retreat again, all year round.

Lake-Side Home Needs Supports Replaced, Nottingham, NH

This homeowner in Nottingham, New Hampshire lives on the edge of a lake, and their land slopes toward the water. They purchased the home in 2022 but before they purchased the home there was an extension that was installed many years ago. The addition expanded the back of the home and a deck was installed and extended toward the lake. When they purchased the home they noticed the supports holding up the back of the home were rusting and they called EFS to inspect the condition of them. Our Design Specialist Jared Pavluvcik met with the homeowner and then inspected the foundation at the back of their home. While inspecting the supports at the back of the home he noticed that the supports were rusted and should be replaced. Jared recommended replacing the supports with 7 Helical Piers and casting them into an Auxiliary Wall to stabilize the back foundation wall. The homeowner plans to use the home for rental income during periods they aren't using the home so they would like the house to be stabilized before they rent it. 

Our Installation Team led by Neal Foley began by setting up temporary supports so they could remove the old rusted ones. The team then began to install the 7 Helical Piers to the foundation at the back of the home. After we drove in the piers, the team began setting up the forms so we could install our Auxiliary Foundation Wall. Once the forms were installed and reinforced, we called in a concrete truck to deliver concrete and fill the forms to the top. Once the concrete was fully cured the team then removed the forms and chipped off any imperfections. 

The homeowners were very happy with the results of the project.
