Radon Gas Mitigation Systems

Radon gas is colorless, odorless, and as cancer-causing as to//bacco and asbestos. Radon gas is produced from the decaying of rocks and soil and comes up from the ground into your crawlspace and basements. The way our radon mitigation systems works in a pipe collects the gases that are coming from the soil. The gas is then piped upwards where a depressurization vent forces the radon out from your home. Job Stories From Moultonborough, NH
Radon Mitigation System Installation in Moultonborough, NH

Homeowners in Moultonborough, NH became concerned for their home's safety following a radon gas test. The results indicated a level of 5.1 pCi/L, surpassing the acceptable limit of 4.0 pCi/L, prompting the family to recognize the need for a radon mitigation system. They contacted Erickson Foundation Solutions for a reliable installation service.

Our System Design Specialist, Jason Vachon, went out to the home to conduct a free home inspection. After thorough inspection of the home, Jason sat down with the homeowners and discussed the optimal placement for the radon mitigation system and additional services to best protect the home. The recommended final solution was a radon mitigation system equipped with a moisture guard, and NexusPro for sealing cracks and joints. Impressed by Jason's expertise, the homeowners decided to proceed with the project and set an installation date. The installation team, headed by Cameron Hughes, began by applying NexusPro to seal all foundation floor cracks and joints, preventing radon infiltration. Next, they created an extraction point in the foundation floor and installed PVC piping from this point to the home's exterior. The pipe was fitted to the extraction point to contain the hazardous gas. Following this, a radon fan was mounted outside the home to draw radon from beneath the foundation. Cameron then extended the PVC piping above the roofline to ensure radon dispersion away from the home. Finally, a manometer was installed on the system to monitor the suction level, providing the homeowners with assurance of their protection.

Having left the workspace spotless, Cameron convened with the homeowners to review the completed work and demonstrate how to keep an eye on the system. The homeowners were delighted with the outcome. As a family planning to utilize the basement for work and various activities, they were extremely pleased to know that their basement, as well as the rest of their home, was safeguarded against radon gas.

Interior Concrete Stabilization in Moultonborough, NH

When a homeowner in Moultonborough, NH, noticed that their foundation floor was-unstable and that an unsightly crack was spreading over the tile surface, they knew it was time for professional help. They reached out to us at Erickson Foundation Solutions, worried about the structural integrity of their home and looking for a dependable fix.

Our Customer Care team promptly scheduled a home inspection appointment. Our System Design Specialist, Jason Vachon, visited the home, meticulous in his assessment. They discovered that not only was the issue as the homeowner described, but without intervention, it could lead to more significant problems down the line. We recommended a two-pronged approach: using PolyLevel to stabilize the foundation floor and NexusPro to seal the crack over the tile surface. This plan offered a robust solution to both concerns simultaneously, promising minimal disruption with maximum effectiveness. Our production team, composed of skilled foreman Tyler Oslizlo and diligent installers, arrived at the site ready to tackle the issue. First, they injected the PolyLevel foam underneath the foundation floor, a process designed to lift and stabilize the structure efficiently. Then, NexusPro's flexible sealant was used to address the crack, ensuring a waterproof and durable bond that would protect the floor from future damage.

The outcome was immediately visible and immensely satisfying. The floor was not only stabilized but the crack over the tile surface was seamlessly repaired, restoring the homeowner's peace of consideration and safety. Perimeter Drainage System Installed, Moultonborough, NH

A homeowner in Moultonborough, New Hampshire, has lived in their home since it was built in 1985. This spring the homeowners went on vacation to Iceland and when they returned they found that their basement was flooded. After the water receded the team called EFS for a free inspection of their basement. Our Design Specialist Jason Vachon performed a full inspection of the basement and recommended installing a perimeter drainage system in the basement to collect any water and pump it to the exterior of the basement. Our perimeter drainage system included 108' of WaterGuard, a SuperSump, an IceGuard, an Exterior Drainage, and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to protect the basement from water.

Our Installation Team led by Gunther and Paul began by chipping concrete from the perimeter of the basement so we could install our perimeter drainage to collect any water that attempts to enter the basement. Next, the team installed the SuperSump and plumbed it to the outside of the home where we installed an IceGuard and an exterior drainage line to guide water away from the foundation. After, the team mixed up concrete and covered the WaterGuard and around the basin of the SuperSump to lock everything into place. After the concrete had cured, we installed our SaniDry Sedona next to the sump pump so the dehumidifier could drain into the basin of the pump.

The homeowner was very pleased with the results of the project. Now the homeowners do not have to worry about water entering and flooding their basement.

The results from the CRM test were 11.2 pCi/L. Our design specialist Jason recommended installing a radon mitigation system.

Our production team began by chipping out an extraction point in the basement. The team chipped out a small section of concrete to attach a PVC pipe to the extraction point. Next, the team fed PVC pipe to the exterior of the home where they can install the radon fan. The team installed the radon fan onto the exterior of the home. After the radon fan was installed the team added more PVC pipe to the fan to vent the system above the roofline of the home.
