Kai W. of Lynn, Massachusetts was experiencing water coming in through her basement wall. Every time there was a rainstorm, water would make its way through the foundation. There were even times when Kai would have to vacuum up the water that was pooling on the floor. This continuous cleaning process became very annoying, which is why Kai came to us for a permanent solution.

One of our Design Specialists went out to the home to inspect the basement. After completing the inspection, we recommended installing our CleanSpace vapor barrier and WaterGuard. This homeowner already had a sump pump, but with a significant amount of water in the soil around the foundation, a stronger waterproofing system was needed. WaterGuard is a drainage system that is installed along the perimeter of the basement, filtering water directly to the sump pump. Allowing the water to enter the drainage system with ease would prevent it from leaking through the foundation walls. Our CleanSpace encapsulation system was installed along the problematic wall to eliminate the negative effects of condensation, as well as provide a form of insulation.

With these waterproofing systems in place, water is safely removed from the home without ever being exposed to the basement. Kai has peace of mind that she will always have a dry basement.

A homeowner in Lynn, Massachusetts, recently found out they were having a baby. They have lived in their home for the past two years but have never thought about radon until they started preparing for their baby. When they first learned about radon they called in an inspector to test their home for radon. The first test results came back at 8 pCi/L and the second test they decided to do came back at 10 pCi/L. They decided to call EFS to inspect their home and see about installing a radon mitigation system in their home. Our Design Specialist created a plant to install the radon mitigation system in the home. 

Our production team started by installing the extraction point for the radon mitigation system. Once the extraction point was made the team installed PVC pipe to it and fed the PVC pipe to the exterior of the home where the team installed the radon fan to the outside of the home. After the PVC pipe was connected to the radon fan, the team then vented the system above the roofline of the home. 

The homeowners were pleased with the results of the project. The radon mitigation system has given them peace of mind for when they bring their baby home. They are now confident that their home will be a safe and nurturing environment for their child. 

A homeowner in Lynn, Massachusetts, recently retired and they have more time to work on tasks and projects at home. They have lived in their 1928 home for the past 30 years and every year since they purchased the home they have had a small amount of water enter their basement. This was the year that the homeowner wanted to find a solution for the water entering the basement. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection and our design specialist recommended installing a full perimeter waterproofing system in their basement. 

The full perimeter waterproofing system consists of a WaterGuard or TrenchGuard around the full perimeter of the basement, a TripleSafe Sump Pump, and an IceGuard attached to a drainage line that leads out away from the home. The team installed 95 feet of WaterGuard and 23 feet of Trench Drain around the perimeter of the basement to collect any water threatening to enter the basement. After the perimeter drainage was installed the team then proceeded to install the TripleSafe and tied it in with the perimeter drainage system. Once the TripleSafe was installed the team then connected the IceGuard to the drainage line to prevent the line from backing up due to freezing or clogging. 

The team tested the system to make sure everything was working. The homeowners were very pleased with the results of the project and no longer have to worry about water entering their basement. 

The owner of a commercial building in Framingham, Massachusetts, had the front steps of their building sink and cause a tripping hazard. The owner doesn't know when the issue started but it has become a hazard and the owner doesn't want anyone getting injured. The owner decided to call EFS for an inspection, and our design specialist recommended installing PolyLevel under the front steps to lift and level the steps and NexusPro to seal the cracks. 

Our production team began by setting up slab jacks around the areas that have sunken the most and lifting them up using PolyLevel. The slab jacks work by using leverage and a bottle jack to lift up the slab to create a small void. The team will then inject PolyLevel into a small port hole in the concrete to fill that void to lift the slab. The team repeats this process as many times until the slabs were leveled. After all of the slabs were leveled the team used NexusPro to seal any cracks in the slabs. The team used a caulking gun to set a bead of NexusPro into each crack. Then the team used caulking spoons to evenly spread the NexusPro throughout the crack. After all of the cracks were sealed the job was complete. 

The owner of the building was very pleased with the work that EFS performed. 

This homeowner in Lynn, Massachusetts was experiencing water entering the basement and beams sagging. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection. 

Design Specialist Stephen Caron inspected the basement and found where the water was coming into the basement and confirmed that the old wooden supports weren't supporting the main support beam anymore. Stephen recommended installing Water Guard, a Super Sump, a Sani Dry, and SmartJacks into the basement.

Crew Lead Spencer Ladd and his crew arrived at the home and installed the Water Guard, a Super Sump, a Sani Dry, and SmartJacks into the basement.

Mary P. of Lynn, Massachusetts planned on adding a 2-floor addition to her home. Mary had a contractor come out to the home to inspect the structure of the home. The contractor found that the foundation of the home wasn't strong enough to support the 2-story addition. Mary decided to call Erickson Foundation Solutions about a free inspection.

Design Specialist John Prince arrived at the home to inspect the foundation. He found that the left side of the home is the weakest. On the left side of the home, Mary has a porch and a chimney. John recommended that on the left side of the home they install helical piers to strengthen and lift the home. John also recommended installing SmartJacks in the basement to support the inside of the home. 

Crew Lead Cody Gosselin and his team arrived at the home and installed the 12 Helical Piers and 5 SmartJacks. 

Bob L. of Lynn, Massachusetts was experiencing some holes in his fieldstone foundation. He had tried to put gloves in the holes and paint over them to try and fix it. He finally called Erickson Foundation Solutions to see if they could solve his problem.

Design Specialist Chris Greenwood came to Bob's home and inspected the wall and came up with that Poly Wall Restoration would be the best means to repairing the wall. 

Crew Lead Nick Melo and his team came to Bob's home and sprayed Poly Wall Restoration on the wall to seal all the holes and cracks.
