Hillsborough, NH Local Concrete Leveling Expert

Sunken and cracked concrete around your home is not only an eyesore but is also a safety hazard. As time goes by, if the problem isn’t corrected, it will only get worse. However, you have no reason to fret when you have the professionals at Erickson Foundation Solutions doing the work. Our experts use PolyLevel, a strong, and durable foam material to lift your concrete slabs back into place. We drill small holes into the slab where the foam is injected and expands, raising the concrete into place. Many other contractors will use mudjacking, but our method doesn’t disturb the area, takes less drying time, and is more affordable.

After repairing your concrete, consider a durable concrete sealant that extends the life of your slabs by 3 to 5 times overall in just one quick application. Our SealantPro concrete sealant bonds with concrete on a molecular level to protect slabs against oil, gasoline, water, debris, and more. Whether you have new slabs or existing slabs, SealantPro will work for you! These vents make it easy for mold and rot to occur, causing issues throughout the home like uneven floors, foul smells, worsened allergy symptoms, and more.

Radon Gas Mitigation Systems

Radon gas is colorless, odorless, and as cancer-causing as to//bacco and asbestos. Radon gas is produced from the decaying of rocks and soil and comes up from the ground into your crawlspace and basements. The way our radon mitigation systems works in a pipe collects the gases that are coming from the soil. The gas is then piped upwards where a depressurization vent forces the radon out from your home. Our radon mitigation system is completely compatible with the current waterproofing system in your home. Get in contact with us now to learn how to protect your loved ones from the harmful effects of radon gas.

Job Stories From Hillsborough, NH
Crawlspace Encapsulation, Hillsborough, NH

A homeowner from Hillsborough, New Hampshire, had purchased their house 17 years ago. One year ago, they started noticing a musty smell and experiencing some allergic reactions. They contacted EFS to inspect their crawlspace, suspecting that the vapor barrier was damaged. Our Design Specialist inspected the crawlspace and found that it was not encapsulated, and the moisture levels were at 54%. We suggested encapsulating the entire crawlspace using our CleanSpace product and installing a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier to regulate the humidity.

Our team began by removing the old vapor barrier and then installed the new CleanSpace Encapsulation, which covered an area of over 800 sqft. After that, we installed the SaniDry Sedona and routed the discharge line to the crawlspace's exterior. With the crawlspace now encapsulated and dehumidified, the homeowners can rest assured that they won't have to worry about musty smells and allergens entering their home from the crawlspace.

Our team cleaned up the job site and gave the homeowner an overview of the installed products. They also answered all the questions asked by the homeowner before leaving.

Sagging Floors, Deering, NH

A homeowner in Deering, New Hampshire, has owned their home for the past 26 years. Last year, they added insulation to their crawlspace as their floor was getting cold during the winter. While insulating the crawlspace, they noticed that the main beam that supported the floors was sagging. To address the issue, they contacted EFS for a free inspection of their basement. Our Design Specialist, Jason Vachon, met with the homeowner and recommended the installation of 13 SmartJacks, 70 feet of Supplemental Beam, and a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier in the crawlspace to add support to the floor system and control humidity levels.

Our installation team dug 13 shallow holes in the dirt floor, allowing us to install our big plate footings to support the SmartJacks. Once the footings were installed and leveled, we installed our SmartJacks and Supplemental beam under the floor system. After all the supports were in place, we used the adjustable top of the supports to lift up on the floor system, thereby eliminating the sagging. Once the floor system was leveled, we installed our SaniDry Sedona in the crawlspace to control the moisture.

The homeowners were very satisfied with the outcome of the project.

Vacation Home Needed Pilings to be Stabilized, Hillsboro, NH

A Hillsboro, New Hampshire homeowner bought a vacation home in late 2022. They immediately hired an inspector to check the home's overall health, who reported that the concrete piers under the home were settling and needed to be replaced to ensure its longevity. After receiving the report, the homeowner contacted EFS for a free inspection of their vacation home's support. Our Design Specialist, Jason Vachon, met with the homeowner and inspected the supports. Based on the inspection, Jason recommended replacing the concrete supports with Helical Piers with porch brackets.

Our Installation Team, led by Edward N., set up temporary posts and replaced 10 of the concrete pilings with Helical Piers to stabilize and lift the foundation of the vacation home. Our Helical Piers are strong enough to hold the home in place on a severe slope. The homeowner was pleased with the installation.

7" of Water In Basement Made Them Consider Basement Waterproofing, Hillsborough, NH

This homeowner in Hillsborough, New Hampshire, experienced a torrential downpour during the summer of 2021 which caused 7" of water to come into their basement. The water destroyed their water heater and furnace. The insurance paid for the damages but the homeowner would like to prevent this from happening again. They installed a sump pump but would like to have a full system installed in their home. They reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions for a free inspection.

A Design Specialist inspected the home. The Design Specialist recommended installing a full perimeter WaterGuard System, a TripleSafe Sump Pump, and a SaniDry Sedona into the basement to keep the basement permanently dry.

The Waterproofing team from EFS installed 146' of WaterGuard, a TripleSafe Sump Pump, and a SaniDry Sedona in the basement.

Stabilize Foundation Using Helical Piers, Hillsboro

This homeowner owns a cabin in Hillsboro, New Hampshire. The homeowners have noticed sticking doors and windows and wondered if something is wrong with their foundation. The cabin is set on top of concrete piers and the homeowners think that something might be wrong with them. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection.

Design Specialist Michael LaMalfa inspected the home and its foundation. Sticking doors and windows are typically a telltale sign of foundation issues. Michael inspected the interior and exterior of the home. Michael found that some of the concrete piers are sinking. This is causing some of the windows and doors to stick. Michael recommended installing Helical Piers and SmartJacks.

Crew Lead Chris Tremblay and his team installed Helical Piers to replace the concrete piers and SmartJacks to help stabilize the main support beam of the home.
