Bowing Foundation Wall
The foundation wall had started to bow, causing concern for the home's structural integrity.
PowerBrace
We started constructing the auxiliary wall by installing the PowerBrace system along the foundation wall. Rebar was interlocked between the PowerBraces. This provides significant support for the auxiliary wall.
Auxiliary Wall Forms
The auxiliary wall forms were constructed to shape the wall. Wooden posts were mounted to the forms to withstand the weight of the concrete when its poured. A polyurethane foam was then applied to all cracks to ensure concrete could not leak through the forms.
Auxiliary Wall Concrete Pour
Concrete was poured through the egress window. As the concrete was poured, a vibrating tool was used to ensure no air pockets formed in the wall. After the pour was complete, our crew leveled the concrete on the top portion of the wall.
Auxiliary Wall Completed Installation
After the concrete solidified, the forms were removed, revealing the completed auxiliary wall. Now, the foundation is permanently stabilized.
