Foundation Repair Photo Album: Bowing Foundation Wall Found During Pre-Purchase Inspection, Center Barnstead, NH
This home in Center Barnstead, New Hampshire, had a pre-purchase inspection done in their home and the inspector found that the foundation walls on the front and the left side of the home were bowing inward. EFS was called and our Design Specialist Victor recommended installing 11 Geolocks across the front and left of the home to stabilize and straighten the bowing walls.
Our installation team began by digging a trench at the front and left side of the home. The trench was parallel to the foundation and 10 feet away from the home. The team then sent all 11 Geolock rods through the foundation and soil and into the trench. Once all of the rods were inside the trench the team then secured our Geolock Plates to both ends of each rod and began to tighten the fastener on each rod to start bringing the Geolock Plates closer and thus pulling the wall back straight. Once all of the Geolocks and rods were tightened the team then backfilled the trenches to finish up the project.
