Foundation Repair Photo Album: Cracks in Stone Foundation Wall, Haverhill, MA
This homeowner in Haverhill, Massachusetts, had cracks in their stone foundation. The home was built in the early 1900s and they have lived in the home for the past 7 years. The homeowners plan to sell the home in the next 5 years but wanted to address any concerns before putting the home on the market. They called EFS for a free inspection of their stone foundation wall. Our Design Specialist Kenny recommended installing an Auxiliary wall over the cracked sections of the stone foundation wall.
Our team began by setting up PowerBraces every couple of feet. The team linked each of the braces with the rebar before setting up the forms for the Auxiliary wall. Once the forms were set up the team braced the forms and called in a concrete truck to fill up the forms. After the forms were filled with concrete the team then smoothed the top and waited for the concrete to fully cure. The team came back to the home a couple of days later to remove the forms and any imperfections in the concrete.
