Foundation Repair Photo Album: Front Foundation Wall was Failing, Chelmsford, MA
A homeowner in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, had their precast stairs replaced at the front of their home a couple of years ago. The homeowners noticed some shifting and cracking of their foundation wall before replacing the stairs. Now the stairs were sinking again and they believe the foundation will be even worse than before. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection. Our Design Specialist recommended installing a new section of the foundation wall and a new set of precast stairs.
Our team began by removing the old front step and gaining access to the foundation. Once they exposed the foundation wall they removed a 6ft wide section of the foundation. After the foundation wall was removed the masonry team began building the new masonry wall. Once the wall was finished the team backfilled. The team will come back at a later date when the precast stairs were ready from our vendor.
