Foundation Repair Photo Album: Homeowner Purchased Home Knowing About Foundation Issues, Groton, MA
This homeowner in Groton, Massachusetts had purchased their home 2 years ago as a fixer-upper with foundation issues. When the homeowner purchased the home they believed they could do some of the foundation repairs themselves. The homeowner doesn't think that is the case anymore. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection.
Design Specialist Chris Greenwood inspected the home and the foundation. Chris found that the foundation wall has around 6 inches of settlement. Chris recommended having the old foundation wall removed and having a new footing poured and having a masonry wall installed in its place.
Nick Carelli and his team first supported the home using temporary posts. They then chipped away the old foundation wall down to the footing. Next, they poured a new footing. Once the footing was set they started building the masonry wall.
