Foundation Problems Photo Album: Deck Pier Installation, Newburyport, MA
A homeowner in Newburyport, Massachusetts, recently purchased their home and began demoing the rear addition and deck so they could create a large deck at the back of the home. After the deck and addition were removed the homeowner called EFS to see if we could install Helical Deck Piers in the backyard to support the new deck they were going to install. Our Design Specialist George Gouthier met with the homeowners and examined the backyard to determine where we could install the Helical Piers. George recommended installing 16 Helical Deck Piers.
Our installation team arrived on-site to send 16 Helical Piers with porch brackets. To install each pier we used a hydraulic drive head to spin the helical into place. Once each pier was in the correct position and screwed into place at the correct pressure the team then cut the piers to the correct height so we could install our porch brackets.
After all 16 of the piers were installed and cut, the homeowner did a walkthrough with the installation team. The team answered any questions that the homeowner had.
