Foundation Problems Photo Album: Covered Porch had Sunk, Merrimack, NH
A homeowner in Merrimack, New Hampshire, has lived in their home for the past 25 years. Last year they had a window crack in their covered porch. The crack was caused by one of the support posts sinking 6". The homeowners called EFS for a free inspection and our Design Specialist Jason inspected the covered porch and recommended installing 2 EZ posts under the covered porch to replace the old and sinking supports.
Our installation team began by setting up temporary posts under the covered porch. After the temp posts were installed the team began removing the old supports and began setting up for the EZ post to be installed. The team drove the EZ post into the ground until they reached 1000psi. After both EZ posts were installed the team then installed 6x6 pressure-treated posts from the bracket to the bottom of the porch. Then the team removed the temporary posts and the EZ post has the full weight of the porch on them now.
