Foundation Problems Photo Album: Water Entering Basement and Concerns with Supports, Cambridge, MA
A homeowner in Cambridge, Massachusetts, had lived in their home for the past 20 years. The home was built in 1894 and the foundation was fieldstone and most of the supports in the basement were brick. For a long time, they have noticed wet spots in their basement after periods of rain. Additionally, they have had concerns with the strength of their floors. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection and our Design Specialist recommended installing PolyLevel Wall Restoration and SmartJacks into the basement.
Our production team had to make sure that everything was removed from the basement before they could start working. The PolyLevel Wall Restoration when applied can float in the air and attach itself to items and potentially ruin them. So as a precaution, we recommended the homeowners remove items from the basement. After everything was removed that needed to be removed the team was able to install the SmartJacks into the basement and spray the PolyLevel Wall Restoration onto the fieldstone walls.
