Foundation Problems Photo Album: Back of Home is Settling, Concord, NH
A homeowner in Concord, New Hampshire, had experienced the back of their home settling because of a hill in their backyard. The back of the home had a wooden retaining wall to prevent the soil from being washed down the hill. Our design specialist examined the home and recommended installing a new retaining wall. The home has a porch off the back, and the supports were installed under the retaining wall. The specialist recommended replacing the old supports of the porch with new EZ posts and securing them to the home's foundation by using helical anchors.
Our production team removed the old wooden retaining wall and installed a bigger concrete one. The team replaced the porch supports with EZ posts and secured them to the home using helical anchors. The team was able to prevent the home from settling down the hill anymore.
