Foundation Problems Photo Album: SmartJacks and Auxiliary Wall, Groton, MA
This homeowner in Groton, Massachusetts recently got their oil tank installed in the basement. When the tank was being installed the homeowner noticed that the rock wall near the oil tank was crumbling and chunks appeared to be falling off the wall. The homeowner decided to call EFS for a free inspection.
Design Specialist Kenny Calabrese inspected the basement and the rock wall foundation. Kenny confirmed that the wall is crumbling and recommended a solution. Kenny had noticed some of the support posts in the basement seemed weak. Kenny's recommended solution is to install an Auxiliary wall to the section of the wall that is crumbling and to replace some of the supports in the basement with SmartJacks.
Crew Lead Nick Carelli and his team came to the home and installed the auxiliary wall and SmartJacks into the basement.
