Foundation Problems Photo Album: Sagging Floor and Beam Repair - Concord, NH

This early 20th century home had been battling settling and sagging floors for many years. After temporary columns were also found to be sinking, the homeowners decided to make repairs that were more permanent.  The basement had varied ceiling heights, from 9' at the highest, to a lower crawlspace section of just a couple feet. In each section, Erickson Foundation Supportworks installed SmartJacks, as well as some steel I-beams. The SmartJacks helped raise the settling floors and permanently stabilize them, coming with a 10 year warranty for the homeowners. The pictures show how old the house foundation is, as it is a mix of old field stone pieces and cinder block wall (added over the years).
