Before View of Bowing Cinder Block Wall
This cinder block wall was bowing due to pressure from exterior soils pushing inward on the blocks. While the lower course of blocks did not move, the upper section moved considerably and was overlapping the bottom layer.
Before View of Excavation
The exterior of the home needed to be excavated in order to relieve the pressure being applied by the soils on the block wall. This would allow the PowerBraces to effectively push back on the wall and return it to a level position.
After View of Excavation
After installation of the PowerBraces on the inside, the soils was replaced and backfilled against the foundation wall on the exterior.
After View of PowerBraces 1
View of the PowerBraces, anchored to the concrete floor and to the reinforced joists above. The wall was effectively stabilized and brought to a near level position after previously being severely cracked and bowing in due to expanding soils.
After View with PowerBraces Installed
View of the PowerBraces, anchored to the concrete floor and to the reinforced joists above. The wall was effectively stabilized and brought to a near level position after previously being severely cracked and bowing in due to expanding soils.
