Wet Crawl Space

The wet crawl space caused the home to have musty odors. Notice the wood rot that is occurring in the photo as well. The wooden support posts lost their integrity as a result, causing sagging floors. If left unaddressed, the foundation could face worse damage.

Our installation crew started work on the project by chipping out concrete on the foundation floor where SmartJacks were to be installed.

SmartJack Plates

Galvanized metal plates were attached to the SmartJack posts to provide increased support.

SmartJacks in Crushed Stone

Crushed stone is then filled in and then cemented over to secure the SmartJacks in place.

Supplemental Beam

We installed a supplemental beam to the crawl space joists and attached the SmartJacks. The SmartJacks are adjustable and are raised to stabilize and even lift the floors.

Crawl Space Encapsulation

CleanSpace is installed to the crawl space walls and floor, creating a vapor barrier between the earth and home. This keeps moisture out of the crawl space, preventing mold, odors, and wood rot. Sump Pump with Battery Backup

The TripleSafe Sump Pump was installed to remove water from the crawl space. This sump pump has three pumps, including a battery-operated backup pump to ensure protection from water ingress at all times, even power outages. Pumps activate in relation to water levels in the basin, ensuring water is pumped out accordingly.

Preventing Frozen Discharge Lines

Water is removed from the home through a discharge line. IceGuard is installed to prevent ice blockages in the discharge line, therefore preventing the system from backing up and flooding the basement. The discharge line is then buried underground to preserve the lawn's aesthetic.

Crawl Space Dehumidifier

To further create a healthy crawl space, we installed our SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier. This alleviates moisture, creating healthy air that gets distributed throughout the entire home. Thoughts of mold and wood rot are now a thing of the past.
