Dirt Crawl Space
The dirt portion of the crawl space often filled with water. This presented problems such as musty odors, causing insulation to fall out, and wood rot.
Energy Efficient Insulation
SilverGlo was installed to the crawl space walls to provide superior insulation. Unlike other forms of insulation, SilverGlo is waterproof, preventing it from getting heavy and falling, while also being mold resistant. SilverGlo's shiny silver coat also fosters better energy efficiency and brightens up the crawl space.
Drainage Matting
Drainage matting was installed on the dirt floor of the crawl space. This provides a layer between the earth and the crawl space which prevents water from pooling in certain areas of the crawl space. The drainage matting ultimately helps water be delivered to the sump basin to exit the crawl space.
Crawl Space Floor Insulation
TerraBlock acts as a form of crawl space insulation and encapsulation in one system. Placed over the drainage matting system, TerraBlock keeps warm air in while keeping moisture out.
Crawl Space Vapor Barrior
Our CleanSpace encapsulation system is then installed to the floor and walls, providing a complete vapor barrier for the crawl space. CleanSpace is fit tight around all elements in the crawl space, completely waterproofing it. This dirt section of the crawl space will now stay dry at all times.
Dirt Crawl Space Drainage
Our SmartDrain was installed two feet deep in the dirt crawl space to allow water to drain underneath the crawl space. Not only is moisture kept out of the crawl space, but is also removed from the crawl space as well.
Temporary Support Columns in Crawl Space
The temporary support columns in the crawl space were unable to provide permanent support to the home above, therefore putting the home's structural integrity at risk.
Temporary Support Column Replacement
SmartJacks were installed to replace the temporary support columns. These SmartJacks provide superior support and can even lift the floors above, therefore fixing sagging floors. The SmartJack system is fully adjustable, allowing precise adjustments to be made should the home ever settle.
Failing Sump Pump
The sump pump previously installed in the home could not capture water, leaving the crawl space prone to water intrusion. In the following photos, our production crew implemented a complete waterproofing system to prevent water from entering the crawl space.
Crawl Space Interior Perimeter Chipping
Concrete along the interior perimeter of the crawl space was chipped out to allow space for our WaterGuard system to be installed.
Interior Crawl Space Drainage System
WaterGuard was installed along the interior perimeter of the crawl space to capture water before it could be exposed to the space. A feed line was then constructed to efficiently deliver water to the sump pump. Our CleanSpace vapor barrier was also installed along the crawl space walls to prevent water seepage. Any water captured by our CleanSpace system drains directly into the WaterGuard system.
Crawl Space Drainage System Completed Installation
After the drainage system is put in place and tested, it is then concreted in place.
Crawl Space Sump Pump with Battery Backup
The TripleSafe Sump Pump system consists of three pumps, including a primary, secondary, and battery backup pump. This provides around the clock water removal, even during a power outage! As water that is delivered from the WaterGuard system fills in the basin, it is instantly removed from the home. Just like the WaterGuard system, the TripleSafe Sump Pump is cemented in place after it is tested.
Preventing Frozen Discharge Line
Water is removed from the home through a discharge line. IceGuard is installed to the discharge line to allow water to flow freely despite freezing temperatures, therefore preventing the discharge line from clogging and flooding the crawl space. A bubbler pot is installed to the end of the discharge line to prevent water from pooling on the lawn's surface. The discharge line is then buried after installation.
Crawl Space Dehumidifier
The SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was installed in the crawl space to remove moisture and provide healthy air that gets distributed to the entire home.
