Nasty Crawl Space
Before we started work on the project, the crawl space was damp and musty. This caused the insulation to absorb moisture and fall, ultimately leaving the home vulnerable to energy inefficiency and cold floors. Excessive moisture can also subject the crawl space to mold growth, wood rot, and musty odors throughout the home.
Crawl Space Drainage Matting
The crew started work on the project by installing drainage matting to the crawl space floor. This prevents water from puddling, helping water be guided to the sump pump for removal.
Crawl Space Insulation and Encapsulation
The previous insulation in the crawl space ceiling was removed. TerraBlock was then installed over the drainage matting to provide a layer of insulation, as well as encapsulation to the crawl space. This helps keep the crawl space warm and dry simultaneously.
Crawl Space Wall Insulation
SilverGlo was installed to the crawl space walls to provide insulation. Its radiant barrier optimizes home energy efficiency and creates a brighter crawl space.
Full Crawl Space Encapsulation
CleanSpaced was placed over the TerraBlock system to fully encapsulate the basement floor and walls. This completely prevents moisture from entering the crawl space, ensuring it remains permanently dry.
Crawl Space Sump and Dehumidifier
Our SmartDrain was placed at the lowest point of the crawl space, thus channeling water to drain in its basin for removal from the home. The SaniDry Sedona is the ultimate safeguard for keeping the air healthy, therefore distributing high quality air throughout the home. Its condensate pump directly ties into the sump basin, creating a hassle-free water removal process.
Discharge Line with IceGuard
The water is removed from the home through a discharge line. IceGuard is installed to the system to prevent the system from backing up and flooding the crawl space. Our LawnScape was attached to the end of the discharge line to better facilitate the disposal of water and prevent clogs.
Crawl Space Door
The EverLast Crawl Space Door was installed to prevent harsh weather elements, pests, and more from entering the crawl space.
