Wet Crawl Space
The crawl space, composed of half dirt floor and fieldstone foundation wall, was unsuitable for the tenant to store items. These personal items were at risk of damage due to water intrusion.
Crawl Space Encapsulation
CleanSpace was applied to the fieldstone foundation and dirt floor to prevent water seepage in the crawl space. This prevents mold growth, wood rot, and even brightens the space.
French Drain System
WaterGuard was installed to the interior perimeter of the crawl space to capture water at the foot of the fieldstone foundation wall. This prevents water from accessing the crawl space and is instead directed towards the sump pump to be removed from the home.
Crawl Space Sump Pump and Dehumidifier
The TripleSafe Sump Pump removes water from the crawl space through a trio of pumps. A primary pump activates to remove standard levels of water. A secondary pump, located slightly higher in the basin, activates when heavier amounts of water, such as during rainfall or snowmelt occurs. Lastly, a battery-powered backup pump is the ultimate foolproof pump, ensuring water is able to be pumped out of the crawl space at all times, even in the event of a power outage. Our SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was installed as well, further keeping the basement moisture free. This dehumidifier drains directly into the sump pump, creating a maintenance-free cleanup process.
Frozen Discharge Line Prevention
Water is removed from the home through a discharge line. IceGuard was installed to the discharge line to prevent water from freezing in the line, therefore avoiding any backups and potential floods.
Bubbler pot
A bubbler pot was installed to the end of the discharge line to prevent water from accumulating on the lawn's surface. The discharge line is then buried to preserve the lawn's appeal.
