Concrete Repair Photo Album: Lifting and Leveling Pool Deck, Billerica, MA
Concrete and coping blocks can add a unique, beautiful look to inground pools and patios. However, without proper protection or stabilization beneath them, cracks and tripping hazards can form. This stamped concrete slab in Billerica, MA had dropped from 1/2 an inch to 1 inch along the coping, and the lip it created needed to be fixed. Our specialist designed and proposed a solution with PolyLevel to lift and level the pool deck back to a safe height.
Our concrete repair team was able to lift the problem areas of the slab and successfully raise the concrete. The joint where the coping met the deck was brought to within an 1/8 of an inch, and the tripping hazard was no longer a concern for the homeowner. In another section of the slab near an outdoor seating area, there was another large crack that had formed due to erosion beneath the concrete. The voids here were filled to stabilize the concrete and prevent any settlement from occurring. With their concrete pool deck lifted and protected, these homeowners have peace of mind that family and friends will have a safe walking area while using the patio.
