Concrete Leveling Photo Album: Garage Void Fill and Waterproofing, Pepperell, MA
A homeowner in Pepperell, Massachusetts, had recently repaved their driveway because of dips made from the soil being washed away. The homeowner had found some cracks in their garage floor and wall and they believed that soil could be washing away from under their garage slab. They called EFS for a free inspection, and our design specialist recommended installing PolyLevel under the garage slab to fill any void and then using FlexiSpan to seal the crack on the foundation wall.
Our production team began by drilling portholes into the garage slab. These portholes will allow PolyLevel to be injected under the slab. The plan for the team is to inject PolyLevel underneath the slab to fill the void to restabilize the slab. After the team fills the void underneath the slab the team then sealed the portholes with a little bit of concrete. Once the portholes were sealed, the team used FlexiSpan to seal the crack in the foundation wall. First, the team used the sealant membrane to cover and seal the crack. The membrane will allow for water to run within the crack but not allow it into the home. After the membrane was set up, the team chipped out the concrete at the bottom of the crack and installed a little drainage line to direct the water away from the foundation wall. Once the drainage was set up the team then poured new concrete over the chipped-out concrete.
Garage Before
The homeowner noticed some cracking in the garage that they wanted to have repaired.
Crack Before FlexiSpan
The homeowner had previously attempted to seal the crack in the garage to no avail. Water continued to enter the garage shortly after they had it "sealed".
PolyLevel Injected to Fill Void
The team injected PolyLevel under the slab to fill the void that had been causing the cracking.
FlexiSpan Installed
The team installed the FlexiSpan on the foundation wall to stop the water from entering the garage.
